Wrong comb and leg color for a typical EE.4 weeks old Easter Egger we assume
Yeah someone just posted that she could be a brown leghorn & I looked up pics and they very well may be correct lol. Didn’t know about single comb vs not. I’m learning so much already just signing up lol. Plus the no tail thing is peaking my interestWrong comb and leg color for a typical EE.
Too young to sex.
Looks like a Welsummer, but could also be a Brn Leghorn or Speckled Sussex. You'll be able to tell when there are more feathers. They all look alike as chicks. Often the sharp, clear V and eyeliner = females but not a "rule"View attachment 1357442 View attachment 1357443 View attachment 1357444 View attachment 1357445 View attachment 1357446 View attachment 1357447

I swear that I can see color in the ear already. If so, I'd expect a lot of comb change over the next couple weeks and that this one is a cockerel.Thank you!
How about Princess? Is she a Prince? Same age White Rock

The chipmunk look is extremely common and seen in many breeds as well as mixes. Where did you get your chick? What was it sold as?Yeah someone just posted that she could be a brown leghorn & I looked up pics and they very well may be correct lol. Didn’t know about single comb vs not. We got her at a feed store, she was not labeled & was the only one that looked like her. The lady was unsure & only ventured a guess that she thought possibly Ameraucana...which is apparently not correct lolThe chipmunk look is extremely common and seen in many breeds as well as mixes. Fortunately I found out there's a swap near us quite often. And this chick's 11 year old owner is cool with sending chick to a friend's farm and picking up a guaranteed hen.I swear that I can see color in the ear already.
