They're pretty cute!
For solid colored birds, comb and wattle development are the best clues. Some close up pics of the combs might help, but I have a feeling you will have to wait know the sexes.

Hello :) These are my 4 week old cochins/pekins. I'm sure I won't know for sure for a couple more weeks but would love some gender guesses from more educated people :) I'll just upload 2 images per bird but I have a million more if needed.
Chick 1 - Lavender/grey (photos 1 and 2)
Chick 2 - Pale brown (photos 3 and 4)
Chick 3 - Dark brown (photos 5 and 6)
Chick 4 - Cream with black dots (photos 7 and 8)
Chick 5 - White (photos 9 and 10)

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to BYC!
Silkies are the hardest. Pullets are supposed to have even rounded crests, so yours might be males, but we'll see what others think.
Hopefully Red and Chuck are pullets, but not sure on them either.
Some experts will be along soon to weigh in.
Thanks for the welcome and the input. Fingers crossed for some pullest ;)

How old are they?
At 5 weeks, you should be able to tell the difference, according to BR experts, which I am not. Males at 5 weeks will have distinctive barring and look lighter/more gray overall, pullets will look darker and speckled.

I am guessing yours are pullets if they are close to 5 weeks. Otherwise you'll have to wait and see.
Yes—I’m sorry! Exactly five weeks today :). Thank you!

Thanks you guys for making this thread. I have 4 barnyard mixes for you, six weeks old. Been getting mixed guesses. Add yours!

View attachment 21880467 week old RIR, supposedly sexed pullet. But out of the 4 chicks that we got, 2 have already proved to be cockerels. This is Gus, and s/he looks very different from the remaining RIR chick of the same age. Help...
Gus is tricky. Legs are think and color is uneven, so it could be cockerel. BUT I would think that comb should be bigger by now if male. Don't give it away yet. Post again in 1-2 weeks to see if there's more comb growth.

Yes to all of that!! I keep telling my husband those things and yet the other two we already gave away absolutely screamed too while Gus is just chilling in the middle! The two on the top of this new pic are the ones we gave away already...Gus is bottom left. This was taken about 1.5 weeks ago.
