Not that I would ever do this, but...

I don't think the public is that savvy. Consider the millions who buy Eggland's Best.

Exactly, I went to the store and bought 5 dozen eggs about a year ago. Somehow one of those eggs stamped Egglands Best ended up in my batch of eggs. And how did one of those superior eggs end up in my plain ol' white large eggs? It's just a way to make more money.

Thats why I have EEs and Ameraucaners...........
But all my co-workers can tell the difference even blind-folded.......

You sound just like my son and his friends!

I sell eggs at the local farmers market and they are always joking with me saying I need to mix in some store bought eggs with my fresh eggs because I always sell out...

<----that is my response to them.

Why compromise the integrity and quality of the eggs and reputations of backyard chicken owning? It is something many of us have fought hard and long to have.

We have a good thing. No reason to make a few cents and cheat our customers.

Terrie couldn't have said it better. We are working very hard toward being able to sell and I would hate for someone to come in and sell store eggs, which people already thuink are ok, instead of buying ours.

So who's talking about a few cents. I'm realizing that there can be BIG BUCKS in this venture. I'll let you know after I figure it all out what I should charge for a franchise, so start saving those few cents.
