November 15th Quilt Swap

katsdar,
I love your fabrics You did great with the sage color.
I think my problem is I look out the window and see sagebrush and then when I try to pick the color out in the store, it's herbal cooking sage that they are referring to and my minds-eye get mixed up.
I looked at a lot of pinks in the on-line fabric shops and knew what I did not want before I went shopping.

I made the mistake of going to Hobby Lobby today, any way I looked at the DMC and none said Sage, anyway here are my cream and Sage, I have not picked out my pink yet. Debating between two, and to top it off I had a coupon for 40% off, do you think I remembered to use it.
So if this is not sage let me know please. The cream looks white but it's not.
I love that green fabric you picked :) I'm sure that we'll have some multiple shades of "sage" as do actual sage plants.

I'm going to try to find something close to the DMC floss sage just b/c I'm not the best on picking colors & this being my first Swap it feels like a way to reduce my stress about that.
Personally, All the fabric I've seen posted so far are lovely, I can't wait until I can go shopping (8/19), this quilt is going to be so beautiful...

I agree with you FeyRaine this is going to be a very nice quilt with these colors and no matter the shade they will all go nicely together.

I don't think anyone has figured that out yet. The fabric I have gotten was on sale so I justified that with I can get 2 yards for the price of one and I will have some left over in case I need to make a few more blocks. I do believe this is where I can say chicken math strikes again.

I finished my second jean rag quilt, this one will go to my son who is in the Navy. I thought it perfect to use the little ship, tried to make it like a window or a picture frame. I used the sewing machine straight stitch to put his name, next time I will embroider it on, but not too bad especially since I couldn't see what I was doing.

Very cool katsdar, He is going to love it.

Thanks, I like that he has working pockets and most of the pockets have snaps on them, just a quilt to be taken to the park or where ever, he lives by the beach, maybe he will hide an engagement ring in one of the pockets Oh darn forgot he needs a girlfriend first

. I told him he can not hurt this quilt this one is meant to be abused, lots of cutting of the jeans, that is the worst part no maybe the snipping of the seams to rag it out, being careful not to cut the seams. All I know is my thumb will never be the same. Now my husband has one for his truck and Kenny has one that can stay in his car if he wants.
