Oh my I'm having the best day!! My swap blocks are on the way, and my dear cousin just bought me a gift of HATCHING EGGS so I can do the NYDHatchalong again this year.
Eggs & chicks & quilt blocks & packages in the mail OHMY!

My cousin just told me that he got a note that the egg order is back ordered , none of the breeds are laying,
& I spent the last 4 hrs trying to find ANY hatching eggs of purebreeds to point my cousin toward but no luck so far.
I totally can't believe it, my cousin is trying to spend for some really nice hatching eggs for me, & nothing is available...

(If anyone knows of anyone w/ LF purebreeds NIPP who would sell for the NYDH set date dec 11 pls pls pm myself & katsdar w/ the info.)
My cousin had ordered MilleFlour Leghorn, Frn Copper Maran, SpecSux, and some nice EE for me, but I'm getting less picky on breeds my the hour.

Try this site for your eggs. You may have to call them as they don't seem to answer their e-mail in the past they were good about answering maybe a problem with their system. I have bought my turkeys from them and am very happy with them will order birds from them again, so you will have to ask them about hatching eggs.

I would but the older girls stopped laying when we had that 1st nasty cold snap a few wks ago. I have 2 pullets who aren't w/ a roo laying but their eggs are too small right now for me to feel comfortable w/ it (I've had bad luck w/ tiny tiny chicks). So nothing hatchable of my own here atm. BUT I've just traded pms w/ papabrooder & I think it is going to work out, basically I ok'd for him to sub. whatever breeds he has eggs so he is going to try to fill the order w/ any LF eggs he can. It will be very random but he has beautiful birds and I'm thinking eggs from his best winter layers is itself kinda a cool way to pick , a built in pref. for birds who might give me winter eggs in future is not a bad thing sunny side up ya'll !!!

Actually I just got back from a special delivery of ready to re-heat food & gifted items to a family that was in a bad car accident on Wed. The oldest daughter was 37 wks pregnant. The GOOD news is the baby appears to be fine, even has a complete head of hair, 81/2pounds too. Mother was very touch & go first 24 hrs but doing better and deserves huge credit as she is insisting on minimal pains meds & breast feeding dispite serious abdominal wounds & 2 broken ribs! The family didn't even have a single diaper yet, so all that has been taken care of thanks to a range of poeple pitching in w/ a mix of new & used baby items etc. This baby, named Landen, was already on my quilt list, now I'm just that much more running behind on quilting due to his early arrival, but that is ok, I was able to actually hold the little guy for a couple mins. today and he was so preoccupied working on how to start making dirty diapers I don't think he'll mind if the quilt isn't ready until he has that well worked out ; >
