November 2021 Hatch-A-Long

My second batch of the shipped Bielefelder hatch egg's just arrived here this morning, so they have been unpacked and are resting. I do have more then one incubator, but I'm wondering if it will hurt to put them in with that first batch. I set the first batch on Tuesday, and this second batch goes in tomorrow (Saturday). That's only 4 day's difference.

I would mark them so you can tell them apart and put them in together.

I already did that by putting the hatch date on them because both batches came from the same breeder and are the same breed.

I usually just hatch from my own flock, and it's been awhile since I have tried to hatch any shipped egg's.

I mostly do the same. There are some lovely options out there available via shipping, but it is definitely more of a challenge.

I'm hoping to get enough of these to hatch to be able to switch out of the mixed breed flock that I have, or just keep the mixed one's around for the non-fertilized eating egg's.

My ducks are due to hatch on Friday. It can't come soon enough. That's the best thing about chickens, they don't take as long as ducks.

I gave my hens 6 eggs from a health food store (I have hatched their eggs before,) to play with since they were broody. The I candled the eggs this is the second day they are developing. It got cold so I moved them in to an in house incubator. Due 19th.

I also have some eggs from my hens I am going to put in incubator. I ordered some from Alabama for next week too.
The dark egg is from a blue copper maran with a NN/frizzle rooster , and the tan egg is from the health food store.

Your duck's are beautiful, and if I was ever to try to hatch any duck's, the kind that you have would be the one's that I would do.
