I was at the gym and got home and Hubby and my daughter both think they might have heard peeps, but who knows!

My babes are about to be born and I am thrilled! We have never hatched chicks before. Our broody hen started setting a while ago and they'll be due any day now, at the latest on Thursday.

This thread is Sooo exciting!
Surely if they shipped infertile eggs they should replace them ? Maybe thats the la la land I like to think we live in . Real shame though. Like the lottery numbers coming up and realising you didnt have a ticket.
The suspense of eggs in the incubator is just crazy making! I can see why its addictive and my first lot havent hatched yet

So much chirping! It happens a lot then for an hour its quiet, then chirping again and a little egg wiggling going on. So dang exciting! Its almost midnight and I dont want to go to sleep and miss it. AHHH! So much fun!!!! Its day 19 today and will be day 20 at 10:30am!!!

OH MY!!!! One has now done its initial peck through the shell (what is that called again????) and that is different one than was moving earlier and now Carrot did some rambunctious moving too! There is at least 3 active eggs in there at the moment.

We started with 24 eggs, 1 named apocalypse never made it past veining. The rest are are possible!!! One is double yoker - Thor - and there was one or two i candled on day 15 that were awfully small still but one was still moving so dont know what will happen there.

Hard to see, but the egg next to Fungus and stinkbug has a chicken crack in it

Oooo I see ! My kiddlets would love to name the eggs too...
