November/December "Hatch-a-Long"

HELP!!!! I don't know what to do. It's day 10, and my temp has been holding steady around 99/100. Now suddenly the temp has dropped to 95! First, how long will my embryos survive that? Second, how do I fix it??? Sould I turn the temperature up in the bator? Maybe in the house? (It's 69 now)

I'm so worried. I have seven embryos kicking this morning...I don't want to lose them!

:(
breath!! 95 isn't going to kill them...short term isn't much problem at all
I would turn the incubator temp up...but keep your eye on it....if your house warms up it may change.....did you add water recently? that'll affect the temp

Okay... Deep breath in...and out...and in...
Thank you. I put water in this morning. I had it open to turn eggs a little bit ago, and I'm thinking since the room temperature is much colder than when I set my temp, maybe just that air getting in did it...?

I have 36 eggs in the incubator. Next Tuesday is when they are supposed to start hatching. They are banty eggs. I was wondering if I should take the eggs off the turner 3 days before or when should I do it? I was reading that banty eggs sometimes hatch earlier then regular chicken eggs, so I didn't know when I should take them off the turner. :)

Thanks,

You stop turning day 18. I don't think that's different for Bantams.

Day 19 ( i was off by a day on my calculations before) anyway, day 19 and I am sooooo anxious for one to hatch! I keep going and looking through the glass to see if any are moving or anything. Hubby thought he might have seen one move earlier but dont know (i dont think so...) nonetheless this waiting is torture!

Well.. I was right on all the eggs I thought weren't developing.. halfway through, I decided to break them open inside baggies. I took pics lol..

They don't even look fertile, at all. there is no embryo development at all, no blood ring, and the I can see the blasto disc and it does not take a round bullseye shape. I broke open several fertile silkieX eggs so I'm certain I know what fertile looks like. how disappointing :(

at least it wasn't something I did? should I contact the seller? selling ALL infertile eggs, for what I paid for them, I think he should know.. not like there is any way he could have known?

I still have eggs from other breeders in the bator, so all is not lost! (except my $80! LOL!)

edit: doing further research, I thought this link was very useful! maybe someone else will enjoy http://www.natureform.com/kb/index.php
