November/December "Hatch-a-Long"

I'm so glad I don't have to go anywhere tonight! I'd worry the whole time I was gone. Good luck!
I planned my set according to my schedule three weeks in advance since this is my first! Now I'm reading it can take 2-3-4-5? days from first pip to end hatch. There should be a nail-biting emoticon for this thread. We lock down in two more days. BTW...lockdown is at the end of day 18 or the start of day 18? I'm such a greenhorn!

I have a baby!!! It took about 75 min to zip, then it kicked out and has been moving around and chirping non-stop since then! Aren't they supposed to be tired? Lol!

Congrats

mine have never taken more than 22 days....usually 20 and done by 21.....others have had them take longer but I believe it's temps
I stop turning mine and up the humidity some time that 18th day...it's not that critical believe me!!!
I'm hoping for 21-22 days. I have an old GWF 1266 so the forced air and more consistent temps I'm thinking should get me more concentrated hatch.

Just a few more days!

I'm planning on using upsidedown plastic berry boxes over individual Marans eggs to be able to tell who is whom if I don't see them hatch so I can toe punch.

I have one blue copper marans out, one blue splash trying to zip, another marans pipped and one of my two remaining wyandottes pipped! Closing out day 21 here.

lucky! next year I will breed a blue splash maran with a americana blue that looks like a blue laced wyandotte- and a blue andelusian and see what I get.

My eggs are going into lock down on Tuesday, so I decided it was time to pull the obviously non-starters out LOL Waited as long as I could, just in case :)

I cracked each of them open in a baggie, all the yolks are intact, they look like they could go into the frying pan. I don't see any sign of a bullseye on 4 of them, 1 does look like it has a bullseye. Other than lack of fertility would there be any reason for them to not even start?
