HI and Welcome................

How have you set your eggs??????????
Lockdown is 18 days after you set the eggs..........then you raise the humidity..............
If you go back to home page ,then into the learning center.........there will be information to help you.
We will be glad to help also.
There does not have to be movement in the egg for it to be good............They have rest periods.. little naps
from all the hard work of hatching at the end.

A pip!! A pip!!! My very first little pip!!! LOL It's in one of my eggs set to hatch tomorrow! It's been rocking all over the place, That little girl/guy isn't playing around!

I GOT A CHICK!!!! EEEEKKSSSSS!!! Went to go close the coop door and noticed a cracked egg. I was scared it was another egg she had cracked and eaten but when we moved her we noticed a white fluff butt.

Hopefully the chick stimulates the others to come out.

I put 7 eggs from my chicken that just started laying. I have checked several of her eggs and they are all fertile. But so far no developement in the incubator but I am leaving them. They are on day 8. They are green and hard to see into.

My new coop got here and Max and I painted all of the pieces. We were putting it together and 2 pieces are missing. So frustrating. I want to put my chicks outside.

Max at 1 week and Max today.

I've got a silkie! A little white, one I didn't even think was pipped that popped out while I was in the shower. Two BBS are pipped also. Come on little silkies!! My older silkie, who is in the house recuperating from a terrible case of lice that almost killed her is talking to the chick when it cries. So cute :love

i was really hoping to wake up to chicks or at least more pips today, but no such luck. I am seeing lots of movement in the bator so hubby will be sending me pic updates while I'm at work today!! LOL Poor hubby. Good thing he is a good sport and loves the chickens as much as I do!! In fact, they were "his" chickens at first, but of course it didn't take long for them to win me over and the rest is history...lol.

I keep hoping my girlfriend grows as fond of the chickens as I am.

Maybe seeing this next hatch grow up will win her over.

It should!! The babies are hard not to fall in love with!! And this time being my first hatch in a brooder, there is something even MORE special knowing you helped bring them into the world! Very exciting! I'm sure she will fall in love! What kind of babies are you hatching??
