It's getting more ridiculous and commercial every year...The Garden Center at our Walmart was taken over in September!! I couldnt find Fall Seeds, Kale or otherwise!! It was awful!
I was explaining the several meanings of Holiday Celebrations to my children, that have NOTHING to do with "getting presents"....I want them to understand it's not about all this money making business. I wish we could get back to celebrating holidays for what they are, according to our beliefs, not as an excuse to spend thousands of dollars on stuff. If it is about sharing gifts, I appreciate a nice hand crafted or thoughtful thing a million times more anyhow!
Its getting to where I just feel like saying Bahh Humbug!!

Hobby Lobby (a craft store) had all their stuff up at the same tim as the Haloween stuff!

Our stores have had christmas stuff up since the very begining of Oct
I actually saw a christmas commercial on tv the other day, complete with christmas music. I think it was for one of the GPS things. And Sears had a holiday type commercial on also.
Its so commercialized. I hate it. By the time christmas comes, you are sick of it from it being crammed down our throat for almost 3 months. Its a shame too, because its such a cool holiday. But it means so much more than just buying presents.
I liked things better when I was a kid- Christmas waited till after Thanksgiving.
