My lone duck egg from my October hatch has emerged today!! I will be cleaning the bator tomorrow to set a batch if just ducks this time, using things I learned in my first hatch ever!

Depending on this lil guy fluffing out and looking good, I will be expecting a November 9th hatch. Fingers crossed for a hatch % as good as my chickens showed!!

Not sure what I will get but my duck ladies laying right now I believe are just my Roeun and my KC with possible dads being F/W runner or Rouen. (The new lil one today hatched out looking Rouenish).

If I didn't start this thread at the proper time or whatever, change it or move it. Didn't want to clutter the October ones since I will have a November hatch.

I also have a dbl yolk I assume. I put it in because...well just because. Lol

So, would that affect a hatch? Should I pull it out? Will a second yolk just sit unabsorbed? How does that work if it's a double yolk??
How that works is twins with best case scenario unassisted one might pip. But they arent able to hatch on their own.

I set some eggies a few weeks ago going in to lockdown this tuesday. I should have babies by saturday. So far all 20 set are doing spectacularly.

6 barred rock, and 6 that are either speckled sussex, or RIR. And 8 that are from a mixed breed flock but most likely a langshan/orpington roo over a langshan hen.

I'm hoping i'll be able to recognize them all from the down color.
