So, here is our story on the Araucanas at this point in time.
We have two (2) Eggs from LM, a Double Tufted BBR Hen crossed with a Double Tufted White LF from Waters Stock. Chicks have been mostly white.
We have one (1) Egg from BE, a clean faced white paired with a double tufted white roo. Chicks will be white.
We have eight (8) Eggs from Pen6, a single tufted roo, black, with straw in his saddle and hackle, over one blue hen, and two black hens, all hens are clean faced. Chicks have been running mostly black with some blues.
These birds have been penned seperately for 3 weeks as of yesterday. Eggs should be true. Prior to seperation they we running with the birds in pen 3, cuckoo marans, and buff brahmas.
Egg color is good, leg color ok for black / blue birds. Hatch rate has been good.
No pics at this time, I need to work on getting some.
