now i've got another problem

A lot of people will tolerate a cat's bad behavior because they're..well,,,,,, cats. It's just a personal preferance. Personally, my blood boils when I see a cat dragging around a baby wild rabbit or a songbird. To me, at least, the songbirds and wild rabbits are more valuable than any cat. I see them as just another predator, and when I see one patroling my 5 acre piece of the world, it goes to that "big litter box in the sky". To each his own.

does it bother you when they kill mice and moles? i still believe a cats mousing outweighs the occasional baby rabbit. mother nature intended for the loss of bunnies - thats why they breed like rabbits! I have three cats and we have plenty of neighborhood bunnies. I've never seen my cats with a rabbit. but they bring lots of mice and moles to the stoop.

No, it doesn't really bother me when they eat mice, moles, etc., but lets be realistic here and admit that the biggest part of the average "pet" cat's diet comes out of a can or box, and the 1 or 2 mice they kill a week hardly puts a dent in the mouse population. Sanitary farm practices reduce rodent numbers significantly more than a truckload of cats. As to the bell wearing cats, I haven't seen a cat wearing a bell ever, in the countless numbers that I have seen stalking songbirds on my property over the years.

And just as Mother Nature intended for the loss of bunnies, I do my part to ensure the loss of a few cats. It's actually the same. As I said before, and I don't mean to offend anyone, but "to each his own" and not everybody adores cats. I don't mind them on other peoples property, but if they're on mine, they're history. If the owners of the cats really loved them as much as many profess, they would certainly keep them from entering the "danger zone".

Unfortunately the ones who should have been spayed and neutered were the ones that came before them

they do chemically castrate inmates that ask for it. Some of the violent sexual predators, that is. The inmate has to allow it though. You know what that chemical is? Prozac, in large doses. Seriously, I used to work in the pharmacy biz.

Heheheh.. not only is it illegal it is inhumane. If you have a nuisance animal you call animal control or humane society. Unless that animal is threatening your safety or that of a loved one. So if you must kill a cat you have to say the following before firing the weapon "it's coming right for us!".. then shoot and you are covered under the law.

You can shoot a cat just like a dog for killing livestock. At least you can if you live somewhere where guns have not been demonized and the law permits. Otherwise SSS with extreme prejudice.

For those who claim cats don't kill chickens. I've lost over 30. TO now DEAD CATS!!!
