Nurture Right 360 Incubator Okay?

Pics
So, ya'll, I've read through all of your posts and have to say you have been very thorough! I am glad I found this thread, as when I posted my questions on another forum I didn't get much reply. I purchased one of these a few weeks ago and I have 21 quail eggs in there about to go into lockdown tomorrow. I panicked when I read about the chicks getting hurt. I emailed them from work to send me the screen and the seal, though I knew if they weren't on the machine already there wouldn't be time. Well, I didnt hear back yet, but when I got home that was the first thing I checked. There was the screen, already in place! Couldn't see the seal, but I'm assuming that's there too. Whew! For quail, I set it for 18 days and lockdown the last 4. I've never incubated anything before and the NR 360 had the best reviews for the money. So here I am. I candled 2 eggs the other day and saw darkness in one and veins in the other. Tonight I candled several and saw air cells and darkness in all of them so I'm hoping they are all doing well. I had mine set for 100 deg and aimed for an average of 40% humidity until tomorrow, when I will increase humidity to 65% and bump temp down to 99.5. My eggs are Ebay eggs that had a hard time coming through USPS and arrived a day late in a bashed up box with 3 cracked out of 24. I only let them sit for about 12 hours before setting, but all candled had nice air sacs tonight. I am so nervous and have prayed they all turn out fine. Since my forum search didnt turn up anything on this incubator I got antsy and ordered an incuview a few days ago, (also getting good reviews) which I got today. My next set of eggs is going in that one in order to compare the two. I saw that one other person here had both of them also and am curious how they like the two and which one they prefer. Anyway, wanted all of you to know that manapro has listened to you and fixed those 2 design flaws!:celebrate
Yah sounds like your incubation is progressing nicely. I also check my incubator when I took it out of the box and it had the screen guard and if you shine a flashlight up in the venting where the electronics are I saw a blue sponge looking material going around the electronics (its hard to see) that I can only assume is the seal. I am on day 13 of shipped silkie eggs at my day 10 candling things were encouraging I saw moving embryos and some were hard to tell so I left them in. Good luck and happy hatching.

So, just an update for anyone still following the thread... out of 21 eggs set, 10 hatched, 2 more made it to hatch time but died presumably because they were in bad positions and couldn't pip, and 9 were duds. They're all in the brooder now and I've got more eggs on the way. I like the NR 360, it was very easy to use and maintain. I agree with others tho, it needs a fold away handle for ease of picking up the lid.

How often does it turn the eggs? I have been sitting here waiting forever and it still hasnt turned (bought it used so want to make sure everything is in working order)

Yes, timer count down won't auto back to 21days after each completed hatch, even it is unplugged for a long time.

We programmed it like this is because it is normal sometimes some chicks will later hatch until 22~23, if timer will auto back to 21 days after countdown to 0 day, then on day 22, the egg turner will rolling again, if at this time someone forget to remove the egg turner, will cause the egg turner turning an unhatched egg on day 22, this will affect normal hatch, so this turner won't rolling when count down to 3 days, and won't auto back to 21 days, unless manually operation.

Suggest to use "reset" function which is easier, to reset timer to 21 days, when every time prepare for a new round of hatch.

It should turn once an hour. But you may have to do a full reset. See the quote above. :)

Reset instructions:

Please try below suggestion:
1) unplug the incubator power connector which located on the back of the incubator top cover for 2 minutes
2) replug that power connector, ensure the connector is pushed fully home in its socket
3) reset the incubator by pressing “MENU” and “-“ buttons at the same time for around 5 seconds until you hear sound feedback, and screen blink once, it means incubator has been successfully reseted, the hatch day count down now will back to 21 day, you can press the MENU button to check, if now the days show 21, means you have reset successfully.
4) then adjust hatch days to the actual correct hatch day remaining
5) wait for couple hours to check if the eggs are moving

Please let us know if this works.

Thank you! I will try this when I get home from work! I've emailed Harris Farms to see if I can get a copy of the instructions or if they are available for download online somewhere.

Their customer service has been very good, so they should help you. If you need anything in particular, I could take pics for you. (if I can find mine, lol)

Can someone buy me this incubator for Christmas? I always wanted it because I always thought it looked soo cool...... but I can't stand the fact that it doesn't do .1 increments but only does .5 increments when adjusting temp? You would think when it comes to incubating eggs and how small of a margin temps can affect eggs, that they will understand that much and in my mind is already a given if ever someone wanted to design and sell incubators. I mean, to my knowledge all digital thermostat does changes in .1 increments, even Chinese incubators! Just very odd way of doing it, that really bugs me about it and a HUGE deal breaker to me. I do hope they can make the temp setting changes in .1 increment for any new incubators that they produced from now on!
