I doubt the values are pre-processing. The values would have to be post processing to be reliable in any form whatsoever. Otherwise what is the point of listing them?Do you think the nutrient values they state are in the raw form before the feed is actually processed? Because the reading maybe lower after.
I don't particularly trust big companies either. On the other hand, nutritional labeling is one of those things regulated by law. So a company that flubs it isn't going to last particularly long.I guess I am not very trusting of big companies making big bucks .
Yes exactly. Some vitamins degrade over time and heat. So it only goes downhill from the date of manufacture.Then it goes from processing to bags then onto trucks to where ever then lays in feed stores etc. so along the way from beginning to end at our feed room I am sure some vitamins are lost. or at least not what they were when this process started. I ferment my feed and It is one way I feel I am at least getting some extra nutrients into my birds. Actually they won't eat dry feed most have only ate FF Pretty sure this oct will be 7 yrs since I started FF. I also add Oregano and turmeric, Spirulina and garlic to my FF.
