NY: BEAUTIFUL 2 Yr Old B/W Paint Filly MUST SELL ASAP $500

I have actually had some pretty good luck with UShip. There is a shipper with the name of Kellet or kellett and he is here on Long Island, so he always drives right by my place no matter where he goes, so he can usually make a pretty good bid if he is going near the purchaser.

I've actually seen some amazing shipping prices lately.

The economy, the slaughter ban, the demise of the PMU industry and the resulting dump of horses on the market and OVERBREEDING has all ruined the horse market..oh, the rise in corn prices, too. It's just horrible.

This little girl would be a FANTASTIC 4H project because she just might be a $40,000 jumping large pony, given the right training. We had some trees down in the back and she would jump them for fun. Nice little mover. She just needs work and some weight. Now she needs some hair grown back. He hasn't drawn blood but, he has scraped her up. I can't afford to board her because board here is $800 per month.

Loud overos, especially black and whites, used to bring BIG BUCKS. I swear they still do...just not to me. I should NEVER own horses because I ALWAYS lose money. I can't sell a horse for anything.

Nancy, that horse out here would bring over 3k, Honest to God! check out the Flagstaff craigslist postings, the prices on elderly barn nags are over $1000, so a real pretty little prospect would bring top money. I had planned to get into bringing horses from Texas and selling them up here, but with gas prices, I had to let that dream die for the time being.

I am a two time 4-H Championship Barrel Racer. I know what it takes to own a horse and everything but I am to scared to go near one alone because of my horse throughing me the one year we were racing in districts.

I was up on my horse Thunder, (a chestnut colored Quarter horse) and we were waiting for the judge to start the stop watch. He waved us to go and we went around the first barrel perfectly but something in the grass spooked Thunder by the second barrel and he reared up and I fell off landing on my shoulder and blacking out because I fell on a rock uncovered in the dirt. When I woke up my horse trainer/ riding instructor was carrying me to the ambulance because they couldn't get through without spooking the other horses. At the hospital they relocated my shoulder and gave me something for my head. My horse trainer / Ridding instructor is my father's best friend so I knew that Bobby would take care of both Thunder and I!

Now a days Thunder is only used for Stud and pleasure trail rides. He lives at my riding instructor's house and is loving life.

If anyone here is serious about buying a horse just remeber they're power and ability. I love horses and that filly is adorable. I wish you good luck and hope that you find what you are looking for.

cownancy,

I've sent the filly's pic to a friend of mine in northern PA, just in case she may be interested

If I had a shelter for her I would take her in a second. I have a couple of Pygmy goats who could keep her company.
Best of luck finding her a wonderful home, she's beautiful

Maxie (Misty Blue Maxi McCue) has been raised as a pasture/run-in shed gal. She prefers a lean to over a barn.

I go to Northern Virginia ALL of the time, but that is still a really good drive to the VA/TN border....probably over 8 hours, I would guess, if I remember correctly.

I would consider sending her to AZ, along with my Rappin Norfleet Style green broke black and white 15.2 three year old who is WONDERFUL!!! I would guess that transport would probably be the same as selling her for $500 here though. LOL.

I could always drive her into New Jersey/upstate NY/MD/DE/VA. It's not that far for me to go to the NJ/PA border ...Hackettstown, etc. About 100 miles to the Tractor Supply LOL. But, it just cost me over $110 to fill up my truck today, so that was another shocker. I've been filling it up at half tank ever since the price got over $4/gallon. Yikes!!

I have heard SO MANY stories of people getting hurt on barrel horses. My trainers all told me that any really great barrel horses is a little bit crazy. They have to be fast/jumpy and ready to move. If you want safety, don't buy a barrel horse. I pick my horses for their lines and personality. I am a HUGE McCue fan! I have had McCue stallions where judges and strangers have had to LIFT THEIR TAILS to confirm that they TRULY were stallions because they were so calm and kind.

Now, I don't think having a stallion is necessary a great idea because of the unpredictability factor, but not all of them are schizo. I'm so sorry to hear you got hurt so badly and are now afraid!!! What a shame. I have a big old puppy dog horse....a 1600 pound PMU percheron named Caleb and you'd love him! He is hard to fear with his personality.

Can you tell that the doctor has me on 5 prednisone? He warned me that I would turn into a raving lunatic tonight around midnight and it is now 12:39...and I am in full "roid rage!" LOL. Last night, I went to the grocery store at 12:15AM when the drugs hit and I was supposed to stay home. I couldn't, I was so jittery and hyper. I've never been drunk, stoned or any other intoxication, but tonight...WHEW!

Maybe I should go wash all of the wading pools, clean the runs, put down sand, lime, DE and pea gravel.....? It's nice and cool in the middle of the night...Good time to work outside!!!

THANK YOU TO ALL FOR YOUR COMMENTS HELP SUPPORT....

If I was close I would snatch that baby right up
well that and I need the acreage fenced in too:barnie

If you can take your time post on craigs list and really scope out the buyer

my neice lives in PA and had one mare but wanted a geld and younger to ride english and jump so she listed her mare for sale and was hounded by prospects but leery as she wanted a good home

sometimes people and horses MUST click for that perfect home and to do that they must see and touch

is it not possible to move her to another area so she isnt picked on?

I wanna rescue sooooooooooo bad and we have oodles of horses here for sale but Im not prepped yet

I don't breed at all...the market is already oversaturated. Had no reason to test for lethal white. I've not measured her either because I have had severe asthma problems for most of the summer-- part of the reason she hasn't been handled much and the main reason for the distress type of sale. I have very limited strength and endurance. It takes me quite a while to walk down to the paddock and then I have to sit.

It's a weird situation because all of my horse friends and my trainer are 400 miles away from me...it's a long story. I have NO local friends with horses or horse experience to help me...hence, again, the distress pricing.

I believe she was born in April 2, 2006. Her sire is a grullo overo named Smokin Tuff McCue 00581669 and her dam is a black breeding stock mare, Blue Maximist 00473278. Neither have done anything but breed, I believe. The filly was originally listed as a brindle grulla/grullo overo on her breeding certificate, but she grew into a black and white very quickly.

Perhaps I can get my husband to do a measurement, but we've tried this before and he doesn't do very well. I had a trainer come to meet her at the beginning of the summer and he thinks she will be 14.2-15, but 15 is actual doubtful. If you email me at [email protected], I will be happy to forward additional photos from the same day, but we didn't clean her, or pose her well....I sound like the biggest dummy in the world. Sorry!

Nancy
