Also, I know I was supposed to bring ducklings for a couple people, but as of today my darn ducks have still not started laying, which means that there is no time to hatch ducklings before Chickenstock now. If those that wanted ducklings would like eggs instead, let me know and I'll bring those for you. Sorry about that!

HOLY COW!! I have been so wrapped up in my own world I didn't realize that the picnic is in like 2 weeks.

So for the auction I will be bringing a flock block and some other things that I will pick up in the next week. I found these little planters that are so cute that I may pick up and put some herbs in them maybe. What ever else I can find that is good. I can also bring some Magpie eggs.

For the pot luck I will bring a case of water and something else...? What are we missing. I can make what ever we need. I'm not that far away. Veggies? Main dish? Dessert? Let me know

Do we have ticket for the auction. One of the teachers at school that is leaving has a few rolls that she was going give away I can snag one if no one else has some.

For sale. I don't have much this year. I Have my Magpie eggs but that is about it. I have extra rooters if anyone needs one? I have a nice Red Laced Blue wyndotte that I hatched from Tab's eggs that is getting beat up so he either finds a new home or he goes to the freezer. I also have a small bantam frizzled rooster that thinks he is a giant that can go too.

I'm getting excited!! Hope the weather will be great...

I may be able to snag my FIL tent. not super rain proof, but it would help with some shade.

i was going to grab tickets but if you can get them free thats better.

How much for the Wyandotte roo?
Photos please! Also, how's his size?
I'd like to add more rose comb roosters to my breeding flock & the hatchery Wyandottes I had years ago were duds. But I loved the hen's lacing. I have some semi-laced blue hens from a blue Barnevelder, that if I could put rose combs on & maintain their pretty color, it'd be a winner for my Catskill Homesteader chickens!
Not that I need another rooster, but I have an older rooster who makes gorgeous babies, but has a single comb which I'm trying to breed out. So, the BLRW could be a replacement.

I know, it's coming up fast! I'll probably bring a quinoa veggie salad with olives & feta.
For the raffle, not sure yet exactly, but thinking of hatching eggs and/or something Chicken related decor/nick-nacks.

I'm letting my broody hens sit on eggs since my incubator needs to be tweaked before I add any more eggs. The only issue is providing alternative nesting boxes for the rest of the hens!

The Muscovy ducks are laying now, though now sure if they'll be all broody in 2 wks or not. If they aren't, I might bring some of their eggs.
 
As far as the potluck goes, this is all we have so far:

Pyxis: Plasticware

Gramma Chick: Napkins, Potato Salad

Boskelli: Plates, hotdogs, buns

Metella: Ketchup, Mustard, Mayo, a snack of some kind

MyFiveGirls: Quinoa veggie salad with olives & feta


So we have the plates, napkins, plasticware, etc taken care of, but we still need cups, drinks, and dishes. So far we only have a couple dishes and water being brought.
