NY chicken lover!!!!

Now that might be an idea to make and sell CD's of wallpaper pictures. As for the Morning Fog, I'm not sure if I saved it that I could enlarge it to a nice size. Perhaps a 5 X 7. I have been to San Francisco and seen people selling their photos. I've purchased a few myself. Perhaps you'd be interested in doing so at some of the craft fairs, if there was none near you.
a friend of mine is planning to help me this winter to set up a website where sets of photos can be purchased for wallpaper and screen savers. the plan is to do it fairly inexpensively, and work toward volume... 10 photos for a buck... something... I do know that the fog file itself is large enough that you should be able to print an 8x10 at home and it will be very nice and clear. it's on my wallpaper now, 32", very crisp. the camera is nice, Lyca lens...
I have more than a few thousand pics, a few hundred of which are IMO, great... but even tho' I've been told to submit them for publishing, I have yet to do so... except for a few contests... the friend who's going to help thinks I'm nuts to not already be selling my pics... eh, it's just what I see, I like to see if I can capture what I see, and if others "see" it too...

Wahoo! A record 15 eggs today!
The kids took a fart egg on the bus the other morning. It was a huge hit with the young ones (I work at the school, so I see them on the bus loop). Funny how something so simple can make a kid's day. :)

DH wants more birds gone to reduce feed costs. There is an auction tomorrow.  So far the birds marked to go are:
3 red sex link hens(2 1/2y), 2 black OE hens (1 1/2y), some point of lay pullets not sure of numbers,  1 blue wheaton ameracauna roo (4 mos)

We have a trio of silver ameracauna we're bringing to the yankee fall classic next weekend that are available (10mos)  $40 or BO

If anyone wanted these we would need to know ASAP.  The sex links would be free, the pullets and hens would be $5 each, roo free to good home.

PM me if interested

Would the splash Orp be one? Even though the orps are not the super layers that the NH or GLW cross are, we still like them big fluff balls.

No I don't think so. I still think it is a roo though.

Rancher- I was probably sending the older hens and roos to auction. I also have two young BLRW roos. I mentioned taking them to be processed and DH didn't really want to do that. I may bring some of the point of lay ones to the show next week.

For me photos can stir a Vinette of emotion. Kinda like when we are driving at night and I see a house with it's lights on down in a valley. Kinda makes me imagine a warm, cozy and comforting place. The Fog kinda does that for me. I will see if I can save it and have a copy made.

My point about the auction was that roosters were going for more than hens. What's up with that? It was definitely not worth my time and gas to get there. Heck I could have found you place easier and just tossed em out the door.

busy w/e for me here - tried my little broody with all seven chicks, which was a bad plan.. Lost one - not sure who did it, but found it 3/4 dead this morning being pecked by a hen and had to put it down. Another chick was damaged, but I think it will be ok - he's 'mohawked' and his eyes were swollen shut, but he can open them now and is running around normally. So I pulled all the rest out except two matching ones and everything seems to be fine - I think that's all she can handle since she's a very passive broody. Still looking for a home for those four chicks - one will need a little extra TLC. =)

Been sweeping up leaves and pine needles for the runs - certainly a lot of those to go around! I am lucky enough to have tomorrow off since I am a gov't contractor so more sweeping to do..
