NY chicken lover!!!!

Pharm, Floyd and I have the flu. HORRIBLE. Today was my first
day out of bed. When I went to urgent care on a Sunday (with a fever)
he prescribed Tamilflu. Did not work for me. Just gave me a bad head
and could not sleep.

Now I am taking ibprophen 2 tablets every six hours and feeling better.

Floyd spends more time in bed. Guess it will need to take long than
a cold. And yes, we both had our flu shots early.

You are quite a writer...I enjoy reading your posts. We did purchase
the 5 Silkies the women wanted to sell because of a weasel. Haven't
spent much time with them(because of the flu). They are suppose to
be blue. I will check closer later and let you know. They are black.
and som dark blue. They are pretty. 3 hens and she thinks 2 rooster.
Regards, Aria

Well of course he does. It's a guy thing I don't dispute nor make apologies for.

My brother is still hanging in there. I've been going to the hospital as much as possible. It's hard because my girls aren't allowed in due to the flu. Anyone under 18 not permitted to visit. He has steadily grown weaker and he is so tired. It is always a shock to see him. He still loses weight when you think he couldn't possibly lose more. I haven't had much time to get on the computer.

You and he are in my prayers, my friend.

Morning all. Yesterday when I went out to see to all the cheeps before leaving for work, the rir boys kept their distance. I guess they got the message. For now anyways! I think the higher protein feed has made a difference. The cheeps are looking better and egg production is up a little. The hen group looks a lot better and I am getting an egg now. Hoping they all start laying again real soon.

Rancher--you are right of course about guys taking longer in bed to recoup from illness. We women are always thinking about all the stuff we have to do so we dont spend as much time as we should to recoup because someone has to clean up and disinfect the house!!!

Aria--glad to hear you are feeling better. Good luck with your new silkies. I would love to see pics of them.

Tab--my thoughts and prayers to you and yours.

Rancher, I knew you would KNOW the man thing.

Pham, Going to take a while to get back to normal. EEK.
Disfenfect the house, yes...I strip beds wipe down
....but Pham do you have some tips? How to wipe
all the house. Door knobs and what you can yes? Any tips
would be helpful. Regards,Aria
