NY chicken lover!!!!

Thanks I really don't mind permits, it really does help crack down on animal cruelty cases. One day we'll have bake some yummy goods and swap recipes tomorrow I'm making strawberry banana bread.

OK lets have the recipe. I've got frozen strawberries in the fridge and Aldi's has frozen fruit on sale. If I don't have enough fresh I toss some of that in.

There's nothing worse then finding out your 1/2 cup short on fresh berries. Ya can't just run to the store in the middle of things.

Tie-dyed Easter eggs!

I bought tetra tint chicks last year at TSC. Supposedly, they were bred specifically for TSC. I'd never heard of them otherwise. I have 7 hens. 5 lay large brown eggs, comparable in size to my producers. The other two (and they both happen to have gray legs) lay large to x-large green eggs. One is green, the other is a pretty teal green. If you're looking for green eggs, see if TSC has tetra tints again this year and get the chicks that have gray legs.

Oooo I will have to start calling around to the local TSC's and see if they have tetra-tints. I've never heard of them before.
The only problem is that if they have them I'll have to find somebody to go pick them up for me. My family has banned me from going to TSC this time of year

tis a good day. The once seriously injured Pekins are laying nearly daily and this morning I was greeted not only with 2 Pekin eggs, but with 2 Runner eggs. The duckers seemed pretty proud of themselves

I'm back! Thanks for the good wishes while I was at the hospital.

Exactly what I needed to know. Thanks! I've been getting worried, since the other hens have laid large eggs from the beginning. I hate being patient.
Ro-cha-cha makes you get a permit? C'mon down to Canandaigua. No permits needed.

(at least in the town, I don't know about the city). Welcome!

Made the angel food cake recipe tonight. Waiting for it to cool now. Did I mention I hate being patient? Strawberries and whip cream ready to rock!
Actually.........they were kinda tye-dyed. They had a BIG swirl of green at the pointy end of the egg !!!!!!!!!!! cool dude !

I hatched some of happyhensny Aussie eggs last May-ish. Wow, those girls started out with nearly large eggs and are slowly getting bigger. Thank you henny...... very nice birds

Save me a seat next to you, will ya? Our TSC people know us well, too. I'll have to suggest a coffee bar... call it "the hen house"! I always say, TSC is the place where you can go covered in chicken poop, Carhartts, no makeup and hair thrown up in a pony tail and no one will care. Matter of fact, they might just think you're sexy.

Isn't that the truth !! No funky, side ways looks when you go into the store, looking like you been working hard all day
