I hatched some of happyhensny Aussie eggs last May-ish. Wow, those girls started out with nearly large eggs and are slowly getting bigger. Thank you henny...... very nice birds

Has anyone here been to a Mother Earth News fair? There is one in September in Seven Springs, PA. It's pretty far from me. 7hrs. one way.

I always wanted to play a trick on my FIL (he's notorious for April Fools pranks). Very early morning, replace some regular eggs with tie-dyed eggs in the nest. I can hear him now...

The recipe is

2 cups of diced strawberries
6 bananas
4 cups of flour
(I used half barely and half pastry)
2tsp salt
2tsp baking powder
1tbsp cinnamon
1tsp ginger
1tsp cloves
1tsp nutmeg
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup veg shortening
1/4 cup peanut butter
2 eggs
2 tbsp almond milk
(or any milk)

I mixed wet then dry then combined
grease pan
360 for 1hr

This is a large batch I had to make enough for other family members it can easily be cut in half.

$775 --seats 47....might be able to talk them into a second stop along the way to pick up the rest of the crew. I didn't request a quote on their web site, just reporting information on their home page. L&S coaches out of Berne NY. That's $16.50 a person if we fill the bus. At $50 a person we only need 16 people. Rental is for one day only. Didn't price 2 day rental for an overnight.

Edited to add: Would be about $50 a person for hotel room, double occupancy. (more if we go with an all suite hotel) Since it is over 7 hours and the bus driver can only drive 10 hours a day we would probably have to stay overnight. It CAN be done, but is there enough interest? I would image that the cost of the bus would be double if we used it two days in a row, but I haven't contacted them. Are we sure that Yankee trails isn't already running a bus trip there from the Capital District?
