NY chicken lover!!!!

They don't sell it but they use it for their own gardens and no I doubt they last all day lol. You make something up and I'll be your tester how about that?

TOB, he is probably mixed with RIR so she was close lol. They are both doing good but we almost had a mishap with the leghorn he flew the coop so to speak, actually he didn't even make it to the coop yet and he was off and running right into the woods! Luckily the red roo kept crowing like crazy and he came back and is now locked up! I was so afraid he wouldn't come back, I would've been heart broken!
SEE THE RED ROO ALREADY EARNED HIS KEEP

yeah I like them all. Many have known my family forever. I spend more time there chatting with them than shopping. Both of our local TSC's are useless. So I avoid them. Especially the Pittsfield one. Boy are they clueless. Not their fault, poor training I imagine. The Agway people are nice, and I guess I'll get home quicker. 3 minute longer drive but less chatting

TROUBLE IS THEY KEEP CLOSING AGWAYS LEFT AND RIGHT TOO...SAD

SEE THE RED ROO ALREADY EARNED HIS KEEP

True!! I read mderby's nerve wracking account of "The Roo Who Flew over the Cuckoos Nest" !! So glad the red roo has a big mouth so that the white one knew where "home" was! I was thrilled to learn they were going to the same place, because (at least for now) they'll be glad to have one another, I'd think. No love will be lost on each other shortly, I'm sure. Hope they settle in well...

My house is very dry also. I have 3 wet paper towels and a wet washcloth plus 2 small dishes with water in them. Hopefully they will be fine I'm just nervous cause this is my second hatch and my first was a complete failure

Good luck. It sounds like you're doing all the right things! It must be so hard to wait!

No change in the eggs from last night. Still just one with a hole broke through, I can its little beak moving around. The others are still rocking. Today is day 21. I will be over the moon if all five hatch out! Keeping my fingers crossed.
i WAS HAVING A RUN OF POOR HATCHES, EGGS WOULD PIP THEN DIE IN SHELL, UPON INVESTIGATION THEY HAD GOTTEN STUCK TTO MEMBRANE INSIDE SHELL, MY ANSWER TO THIS WAS WHEN I HAFE ONE THAT PECKS A HOLE AND STOPS FOR A DAY, I BEGIN MISTING THE EGG EVERY FEW HOURS AS THE WET EGG SOAKS THRU SHELL, MOISTENS THE INTERIOR AND VOILA THEY ZIP AND HATCH. AT FIRST I WAS AFRAID OF DROENING CHICK, BUT TOOK A CHANCE AND IT DID HELP. GOOD LUCK

He sure did! He's already fulfilling his roosterly duties also

Can I ask a question? Keep in mind, I'm clueless!

What would happen, if after a day, the pipped eggs are not making any progress and you "helped" ? Is this dangerous to the chicks? I am guessing it is, or else more people would try to "help". Just curious, though... Thanks.

Good news on the eggs!

Just got home and had to stop the car about 2 miles from here to let a chicken cross. There was a flock I didn't know existed. And a few doors down another! Never saw them before!
