NY chicken lover!!!!

The hand me down "coop" that was given to me yesterday! I can't believe someone kept 3 chickens and a duck in there. I hosed it off and left it to dry in the sun. You can almost see the pre-fab nesting box that these two tractor runs came with. I cleaned that up too and I'm going to paint it tomorrow.

I also broke down more of those pallets for wall wood today. Going to hammer the nails out of the planks tomorrow and maybe get more walls done too. I need to get these poor chicks out of the dog crate. They're growing super fast now and it's not enough space. I'm thinking of bringing in the smaller tractor run once it's clean. More floor space for them. Oh -- they're trying to fly, and managing to launch themselves like angry birds.

Back home from Rochester. Fiona had 2 partial root canals and 2 crowns put in. We're going back next week for the other side of her mouth. She was such a big girl and did so well.
Had 5 deer dart out in front of us on the thruway on the way home. They made it across one section but I don't think they were so lucky on the other half. And when I got home I found out my cat was hit in the road. It has been a long day.

Sheesh! Your plate has been so very full. Here's to wishing you a "stay in bed reading a good book and drinking tea day"...or maybe just a few hours!!

Tell me, why would a kid so young, Fiona, need so many root canals?

Went to TSC today and now, you all know how I love sales? Brown Leghorn chicks - straight run, that I bought 12 of on Saturday, were marked down to $1.00 each!!! I bought them all. 22 more.

One of the employees called me at home and wanted to make sure "I didn't need anymore before they sold them" Oh brother. They have my number. Literally!

Hope everyone has a wonderful, sunny and warm, day tomorrow!

Sounds Like a Rough Day ! Tomorrow should be better ..Sorry about your kitty
Just made a video of the chickens getting some raspberries from my daughter and I using this new Vine app. It's pretty funny...

Cool ! Score ! Hopefully they let them out for exercise . It looks quite tall.. I wonder if it could be put on its side for a bigger floor ?

Quote: Maybe we will get to see you & your wife play sometime . Will you play for Chicken Folk ?
I did see those clips ..wondered who that was in that one . Maybe they wanted a guitar player that could also sing ?
One clip showed Kenny higher than a kite ..looking off into space ..some blues fest . Glad he Kicked it ...

The new band ...some good guitar playing !
