Saw the Eagles again today ...They were so high up ..they were almost specks in the sky ..
4 of them ..do eagles keep their older young with them ?

They do not, however young eagles sometimes stick together for a time before migrating to different areas and while 3 is usually the most I've seen reared by one pair I know that in parts of Canada they have found FLOCKS of young teenage eagles in areas where food is plentyful. Are these 4 still mostly brown/black or have they started to get their white caps? (assuming they're bald eagles)

I spent a lot of time last year watching the Decorah Eagle cam, thats how I have learned so much about bald eagles over the last year.

but mom and dad eagle have chosen a different nest this year!

Hatch day is Sunday! It went by so fast. So far I have thrown out 5 eggs so there is 36 left. 2 of my silver laced cochins had blood rings
My hens have been laying machines! 24 eggs everyday! Spring is finally here! It could be a little warmer today though. Spring puts me in a good mood

the broody madness is about to start here. I stopped counting broody's at 25 last year. My best broody Sumatra, a 6 year old Blue who when not broody still lays 5 to 6 eggs a week is broody. I gave her a dozen Sumatra eggs and she is in her glory. A few pics of her from last year. Her favorite nest. Same nest as this year. And a pic of her biggest brood of her 4 broods from last year when she raised 15 Sumatra's.

I always do this! Forget to mention who I am talking about! Age has really crept up on me! Referring to "featherz" picture.
