NY chicken lover!!!!

Help...not sure what to do or if there's much to do about/with my Polish Roo'let with a crooked beak!?!? It's progressively gotten worse, not sure if you can see, but half of his nostril is caved in and the shaded part of his beak is gradually twisting. His beak is still lined up for the time being, but it doesn't close all the way anymore. What should I do with him?? Any feedback or suggestions would be appreciated. He's one of a few Roo's in my bunch of backyard babies this spring. Thanx in advance.....

There's a big thread on here somewhere about 'special needs chickens' and I seem to remember that a lot of them dremel/shave/clip (VERY little at a time) the beak to at least make it better for the bird to eat. Some twisty beaks just get worse as bird gets older, some do not. I have one with a slight twist, but she does just fine.

Here it is:

Ugh...my neighbor called to inform me that there is a family of foxes living under the shed of my other neighbors property...the house is abandoned and I guess he's seen them coming and going. What should I do? I have had pictures of the fox on my game cam but they haven't yet bothered the chickens...

It neat that you mentioned Rowan because that's one of the names I mentioned to Travis already. He gave me the "I don't hate it, but not in love with it" answer. I thought it would be nice because his mom's maiden name was Rowe.
I read once when picking a name, to go to the back door open it and yell the name three times.

As for Rowan, I'd consider whether or not you use nick names. In which case this one might be Ro. Would you like to be called that for the rest of your life?

My son's name is Sebastian. His great grandfather with the same name was called Sam. No way did I want him called that. We did give him a nick name but now call him Sebastian.

The worst two I can think of are the kid next door when I grew up whose name was Roger but we all called him Pumpkin and my cousin Reginald who we all called Pee Wee. However as adults those were dropped.

But I think my daughter Mikhael (fem. Michael) will always be Mike.

I assumed everyone would say to get rid of them but I feel bad... I would feel better if there weren't babies involved. What would happen if I called animal control?
