I have had children. 3. All "natural childbirth", since I am allergic to novacaine so I couldn't have a spinal and anything else slows down the labor. I have had kidney stones. 3. I can tell anyone who wants to listen that kidney stones hurt more than child birth. However they are different kinds of pain. Kidney stones are kinda unrelenting getting worse at night when you are trying to sleep and recharge your batteries. Labor pains hurt INTENSELY for 60 - 180 seconds. Then they end. Until they come back (at regular intervals). While they are not hurting you can rest and if lucky drift off to sleep for 3 - 5 minutes. Morphine works well for kidney stones. Not so good for childbirth. (something about hurting the baby? LOL) If I had to choose I would choose having the baby, but then I love to rock babies to sleep. And you can never rock a kidney stone to sleep.I had my first kidney stone early this year. Although I haven't had a kid, so I can't make that comparison directly, I will say it was by far the worst pain I've ever felt, and I've had some nifty injuries. *shudder* I can usually bull my way through pain - not that stone, though. Ow.
I'm with your Stony. I have rabbits that come through the mint to get to the flower garden. It might work for mice and rats, but it does nothing for rabbitsI have a rabbit that lives in a mint garden. Yes I have a garden full of mint. And rabbits live in it...for years now. Just cause ya read it on BYC does not make it the truth![]()
What the heck is it with these employers who want to cheat the little guy out of the pittance they pay? Now don't get me wrong, I'm not ungrateful for the job, but my co workers work hard and they're telling me to watch my pay check. Certainly corporate wants the management to save money but to cheat people out of a few dollars?
Trust me when you get older the battle gets tiring. I just want to come in do my job and go home.
It's no wonder we have a pres who wants to rob the rich.
Rancher
doesn't work for chipmunks. We have a patch of mint right outside of the kitchen. Chipmunks run through it all day long to get to the bird feeder or the chicken foodI'm with your Stony. This is why you should open the unhatched eggs. It could tell you why they didn't hatch. Usually non-hatching & dying the last days is due to too high humidity. The chicks haven't dried down enough or when they pipped, there was still water around them & they drowned. Or, if the air cell is very large, then there wans't enough humidity. It can tell you a lot. Thanks Rancher! I appreciate that. If I get nowhere with the eggs outside (hatch day is tomorrow for them) by end of this week maybe I'll bring you up on that offer. Just wish I had a few more in the bator rather than just the two. One of my problems could have been that I did not use a hygrometer. Never got around to picking one up but someone mentioned placing a bowl of water in there or a wet sponge so I did. Just kills me that eggs were alive up until lockdown. So to me, it couldn't have been humidity alone knowing it was fine for the first 18 days enough to keep them alive. I don't know, hopefully something happens tomorrow or the next with Stella's eggs. Just curious as to what is going to come of these pairings - the blue lav split and the splash.
Got the ducks locked up a little earlier tonight. Last night I was out there until 9 trying to get them in their coop. Got eaten alive by the mosquitos! Won't let that happen again. I'm nervous about the weekend I go away. My husband will caring for everyone while I'm gone. Don't see him being able to get them back into their house. I'm gonna have to figure something out so their confined and can't get loose.
