The club is having a meeting end of this month, then I will post the details. Its sheduled for May 7th.

THis was one of my coop areas off the barn yesterday after the snow came down, there is a 24 ft row of 6 coops with windows all along the side. The snow either cracker or broke each one....I guess it wasn't a good place to make coops.

Wow... that looks awful! Are your chickens ok?

Yes they are ok, when I walk into that area inside, it feels like I'm in a blue cave with eerie light coming from somewhere..THank god my husband is out there now with the tractor & bucket trying to get it cleared up. But now I have to fix the windows don't know how I'll do that when its cold. I've been replacing the glass slowly with plexiglass, but it even cracked that!

For a temporary fix, you can staple clear, heavyweight plastic shower curtains up. We use it on the silkie's sunporch & it stays remarkably warm in there.

Well, for YOU I'd be tempted to rehome them - I know the ladies will have a good home with you. If I put them on CL, tho, I can never be sure and that would make me sad. One of them squatted for me this morning - it's so cute when they are so little! I keep waffling back and forth - my cats won't bother the bigger chickens, even my leghorns, but those tiny little birds I am concerned about..

thanks hunny! My lonely roo is still looking for his girl-been two days and he's like hey !!!...whered she go???? I googled your town and your 2 1/2 hours from me..hmmmm think think... They were actually my hubbies birds-his first ever set of birds-he was sad when he found her-thought she was just laying down funny:-( He said "Great...Now what do we do for my buddy?" I said let me look around as our millies were only 5 months old too! Hatched them from C and J from chickenstock at my house...

I guess I'll take the rain if it means that the snow will go away. This weekend I'm going to start some seeds, in hopes for spring.

Darn computer went all wonky this morning and I didn't think this post went through.

I have no bids so far... if it doesn't sell, they'll be available. I'm just trying to make room for all the eggs I bought! I have the lav & split girls together, so whoever lays are what I sell.

Well I hope someone bids on them! If not...I will be your backup plan...for the ameraucanas anyway. Thanks!

Sue..correct me if I'm wrong..but didn't you mention a slw in NYS a few pages back? If you know a good breeder of slw's in NY would you mind sharing? I am really liking these wyandottes.

Thanks,

Trish
