NY chicken lover!!!!

This was my little visiter in my yard. I have no idea where her nest was but I must have walked right over her. All she wanted to do was leave the yard before my chickens noticed her. I'm not sure if they would have bothered her chicks but I wasn't going to give them a chance. Now she comes back everyday just to steal some food.

I saw em ! cute and I'd let them snag some food for all the slugs they would eat throughout the rest of the day.

I have heard beer in a bowl is great for catching them ....they crawl in & drown .
We have them too...the grossest time I saw them was at night ...I turned on the light in the run ...they were crawling into the chicken food .Uwww
I have moved the dishes to the other side now
My chickens really dont like them ...

Awww that is the cutest thing ever! She just showed up in your yard with those ducklings? Or are you thinking she's been in your yard and hatched them there?

So I put an ad on Craigslist to try to get rid of 5 of my 3 month old roosters. I had a guy respond today saying he would give me $10 for all 5 of them because he wanted to get them for his nephews...ugh I think I should take the ad down, I'm so paranoid of people being interested in them for fighting. I really don't care if they want to buy them all so they can have them processed but really? I think I just need to "man up" and cull them myself.

Try berkshire view farm for processing in Coxacie. The trip is not bad and you can bring them back and put them in the freezer.
