Tab I hope this is her last one too but I doubt it as this one is girl and he is last one to carry on family name her other 2 are by her first husband so he wants a boy.

Chris I hope the wife has a speedy recovery I just had a Shoulder replacement in the beginning of June and it was doing great had almost full range of motion 6 days post op until they got ahold of me in therapy now have to have it redone as hardware is not where it is supposed to be. Who did her surgery?
Metella he is a nice looking bird I am actually thinking of showing some silkies next year.
Miquwid if you ever come up my way you absolutely can go for a ride in the vette I will post a picture of it for you
I got some more work done on the barn today. I did get the Vette out and took her for a little spin that car is my baby. Going to take son that is going off to college in a few weeks to open a checking account tomorrow so he gets to ride in the vette tomorrow.

I'm so sorry about your chick. I always feel the same way when I lose one and I've done this for years. It's bittersweet. I wish I could tell you what happened but I don't know. I'm sure someone else on here can. After experiencing my little Sizzle hatching out Black Copper Marans chicks I'm all for broodiness instead of incubating. It was one of the most amazing things I've ever witnessed. Hugs to you, Gramma Chick. sue

so does anyone else have birds that watch tv? My two turkey's will start chiping if the tv turns off. I turn the radio on and it don't work only the tv. I may have to run cable to my coop once they get out there lol.

So I was wondering is it weird that my son rubs the backs of the birds at night when he checks on them? He says they calm down and fall asleep easily??

No need now- every one is GONE!! Disappeared- not a trace. We found one and were able to revive it but every other chick is no where to be found????

I'm so sorry! Have any others showed up? How's the one doing that you were able to revive?

Roger. He was practicing his crow this morning. They dont like to be handled much but do love hanging out with you wherever you are.

Not to be outdone, here is Gladys, my 3 1/2 year old GLW hen. She maintains law and order in her coop and keeps the tater tots in line. The boys are taller than her but defer to her immediately when she demands it. I estimate her weight around 8 pounds. She is a regal lady.

Pharm ~ I LOVE your birds!! What colors are the two little silkie chicks in the pics? They look a lot like my two silkie chicks I'm thinking are going to be splash, but I'm not 100% sure.

Wow, lots to catch up on.

First off, Danielle is doing good. The nerve block wore off early this morning so she's a little sore but not too bad. When she goes back next week she should have her full range of motion back.

Nutty, it was Dr. Rafael, I'm sure I spelled it wrong, His father actually did her ankles and a knee when she was in high school. I love the 'vettes and the barn is looking good.
Country Boy, hopefully they will turn up. Maybe they were all freaked out by chasing them around.
Gramma, don't give up. It's always a crapshoot incubating eggs. We've hatched plenty here and seems like there's always a problem at some point.
Jlaw, Your turkey's are spoiled

I think I covered it all, beautiful morning here, guess I need to mow some grass before I need to have someone come bale it.
