NY chicken lover!!!!

Egg production is at an all-time high. I got 35 eggs yesterday! Wahoo! Egg customers are very happy.

I'm getting very frustrated over searching for a CNA course that doesn't run during the day. They are ALL given in the daytime. Kind of hard when you work during the day. And I need my daytime job. We can't do without the income and it pays our health insurance. I'm thinking of looking for a home health aide job that I could do evenings and weekends and go to school during the day (it's only an 8 week course for CNA, but then I'm thinking of following with nursing school). Then I worry that what if I hate it, and now I've quit my job at the school that I've had for 8 years?

Someone please tell me what to do.
Did you check with the Nursing homes I know Sunset in Boonville does their CNA course on the 3-11 shift.

I have to share this pic I just took of the ducks (Just yell at me if you all are getting sick of my duck pics LOL) I love it, still don't have a name for this gal yet, the black is Lucy. The blue girl was looking up at the sky and it just looks like has a smile on her face.

what is the duck in the middle there brown with black bill? sorry know nothing about ducks. hopeing to learn and maybe get some next year.

Brella--corid is good for upper respiratory infections. Mix it with water for 5 days.

Bill is being very quiet this morning. I suppose with Roger suddenly gone, he is trying to stay under the radar. The vetrimycin spray I am using on my hurt hen is healing up her wound quick. Its looks even better this morning. She is definately enjoying her inside accomodations, eating a leisurely breakfast this morning while chatting with me. Hoping to get her back out with the flock again tomorrow. I hear running in the ceiling above me so time to get dh on mouse patrol again. Off to work, hoping its a better day. You all have a good day.

The two brown are Khaki Campbells, the one with the black bill is the female and the one with the yellow bill is the male. I like them a lot so far, really good about staying in the yard.

I use Corid for coccidiosis.

these 3 drakes are looking for a home. If you want them you are saving them from freezer camp. 1 Runner 2 Khaki Campbells. All hatched this spring under broody's. They are almost of mating age and the duck chaos is going to begin soon so I need to clean house.

The 4th drake, the Khaki Campbell in the back is the one I am keeping. He seems to run the show. Handsome dude

Morning All,
Last day of work for me!!

Thanks for the help last night with my little chickie's legs. I did put a bandaid on but I felt so bad for it. The thing was just laying there all night chirping away because it couldn't get up. So I removed the band aid after going back to that forum and reading that someone had used an elastic instead. I have these little colored elastics that I use for my daughter's hair, they come in three different sizes. So I used the larger of the three and it worked perfectly. Placed on one leg, twisted it a few times and then placed on the other. This way it would be able to wiggle it's legs out of the elastic. Woke up to it this morning being able to get around and it's feet are nicely positioned under it's body instead of flopping out to the sides. I just really hope this works and I dont remove the elastic in a few days and it goes back to spraddling its legs again.

Jay, Would spraying baking soda and water work?

These duck pix are great. Enjoying them a great deal. Heading to the Fair soon, can't do weekend there. Have a great day all. Pharm, I am so sorry all your customers are so grumpy. I resolve to be very sweet in the drugstore...they'll probably think I'm really sick.

I am sooo in love with this chick. I googled pictures of what a splash Orpington chick looks like (even though this chick has a BR for mother) and I came across this site that this woman had with pictures of blue Orpington chicks and they look JUST like this chick.

400

Wonder if its going to stay blue and look more like an Orpington
