I'll try to remember to wear my CNY Blooms hat. I'll also have a tall ugly old man with me. I'm sure we look like Mutt and Jeff. Be there around 10 am maybe.

Depends on the day, right?   Darn Husband.  Dear Helpmate.  Da** Him.  Duplicate Helper.  But most often it is "Dear Husband".   But I think I like Darling better.

Because in the beginning my DH hated the chickens and turkeys so AND complained every waking moment I thought that it mean't dumb husband. No kidding! Then I found out how nice you all were.

Been a busy week have to take son out to college tomorrow and get him settled in the dorm I hate that drive to Plattsburgh and am sure I will cry like a baby even though this is number 3 to leave the coop. I finally have a Broody hen she is a Blue Orpington. Now if I want to put eggs under her when is the best time to do it ? Ok off to dream land for me got a long drive there and back tomorrow.

so does he still feel that way about the birds ? Mine says he doesnt like them ..hates chicken poo ...I tell him it wont kill you ..we have had chickens about year & 1/2
After I started selling some and split the money with him; he doesn't complain so much. He even puts them in at night most of the time. If the turkeys would quit pooping on the deck I don't think I'd hear anything. Somehow, I don't think that is where the term "poop deck" came from. lol

My fiancée is allergic to my chickens. He is very sensitive to their dander so I can't brood chicks in the house anymore. Tried twice and both times he ended up sick. He will close up the coop for me though.

That works I'm not sure what I'm wearing but I have long dreads and tattoos I should be easy to spot, my son has a head of curly hair and is almost as tall as me.

Have you tried the safer brand?
Yeah I missed that too, but regardless I'm so sorry about your roo.

Yes I get annoyed as well.

PhArm ugh I hope you have a better day 2mro. Seems like you've been busy filling the freezer. I hope you can find another that is just as nice looking but nice as well. What kind was he again?

So I waited till night and added the silkie n brabanter in with the other silkie. The brabanter cried like a baby I'm like really your 18wks old get over it. Now that I made room I think I will add some chickens 2mro. Chicken math is ridiculous lol

I hope everyone has a good night.
Thanks miq, I'll look up the safer brand

OMG, you all are making me want ducks for next year! I suppose I could ask my neighbor to bring his backhoe over and dig out the spring some more and make it into a proper pond instead of a "puddle".....

Jay, Garlic is a great anti-bacterial, viral AND fungal resource. I haven't tried this yet on my apples due to lack of time, I was going to throw a bunch of cloves in the food processor, get it as fine as possible, add water and a little bit of dish soap. Let that sit at least overnight and strain out the chunks. If you try this let me know how it works, I'm not sure I'll get around to it this year as I haven't seen any powdery mildew this year.
Thank you so much. I'll definitely try this. Garlic isn't toxic to chickens or ducks right? They all will go back into my garden after the growing season but occasionally one will find a way to get in sooner.

Jay, I have had good luck getting products for a healthier garden at "Garden's Alive!". I get their catalogs, but they probably have a cite. Good luck!
Thanks, I've been looking at their products. It really annoys me that most organic products won't say that it's safe or unsafe for animals. This is why we need the older generations to teach us what they did to control their gardens when they didn't have specific products.
