BTW, I couldn't sleep last night (Fibromyalgia thing) and wrote a couple "Ode to Silkies" I finally went to sleep but in the meantime I giggled so much it was a wonder I didn't wake my husband. It's another morning but let me see if I can remember any of them.

Ooo, Fyre, I like it! I will have to recite it to Mumbles (my lone silkie). Day 21 and no pips yet. I hope these silkie eggs hatch! We only got a dusting of snow (thank goodness) so after giving me the stink eye, my divas left their tractor and ventured into the snow. Of course, goodies thrown out there helped! Its warming up nicely so everything is melting. I hope this is it!

I have to admit I thought it was kind of cute but that's the person who thought of it.

We had about a quarter of an inch, it has pretty much melted but we are still getting snow showers dang it! It really isn't bad out there. Since it is April in NY you never know.....we should only be getting snow showers that melt now I would think and PRAY!

I went out and the chickens gave me a little bit of stink eye, mostly they just talked amongst themselves - I know the barreds, cochins, BRXEE and a couple of lavenders I need identified were plotting my demise but they just didn't have enough snow for the deed so they let it pass.

Now if my Silkies were old enough to be out there would have been a revolt at the doors of the pens

All I can say is thank goodness syracuse didn't get hit with snow...fyre..it would take a heck of a lot more than a silkie and a bottle of wine to calm me down! LOL

trylin - please you don't need alcohol. Precious Silkies my foot. One looks like Mr. T. At least that's what everyone calls him. Everytime I leave the room I swear I can hear the theme from the A Team. When I look at them in the brooder he gives me that "whatchu lookin at fool?" stare. He's got the mohawk and everyting.

Not sure of the colors of the third but on is Porcelain and I hope the other is too. They look similar. Can't post pics DW is in Alabama.

Wish I was too. The only one here who isn't sick is the baby. DD gots it worse. Me I'm just getting over it and Doofus is getting it I think.

Woohoo!! Just checked the bator and have 3 eggs pipping! I wonder if I stare long enough through the windows that all 10 will magically hatch immediately? Wait, what am I saying? It must be a group silkie mind control thing! They arent even hatched and already they are in my mind! Someone please help me!!!
