My husband LOVES them ! Are they just as cold hardy ? or does the special feathering let more air in ?

Just remember Miq, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. You'll be done soon and have the reward. You can do this.

I had thought we'd go pick apples today but DD is not feeling well again. She has two weeks to go. DW and I want them to stay here for the next two weeks or at least be dropped off each day. We worry when she's alone with the Queen.

People forget in the olden days when women didn't have help, how many died in childbirth. Not everything in the "old days" was good.

So no apple picking today, but Lord knows there is plenty to do.

DW and I are talking about going to one vehicle. We'll need something to carry feed, hay and the kids , but be gas efficient for her to drive into work each day. Any advice. We figure to save on insurance.

I've had Frenchy and Buckwheat for years. They seem to do fine. Now I have a new girl, but she hasn't a name yet.

I'm not sure why folks downsize in the winter cuz that's the time they need more bodies for heat. Each LF generates 10 watts from what I've read. Their body temp is over 100* .

Frenchy hasn't laid in for a year or more but that's okay. She's the only one left of my first order of chickens. The new girl is Buckwheats, Frenchy's daughter, who I had thought was done too. She laid again this year so I gave as many eggs as I could to the broodies to hatch. Only the new girl and one barred roo were frizzled. I plan to put the new girl in with the EE's or Marans. Buckwheats dad was a CM. She laid darker than normal egg and very smooth. That's how I knew which were her eggs.

Woke up this morning to Duane having laryngitis. He tried to crow several times and got nothing out. I am still trying to keep the flock as natural as I can. What can I do to help this other than the things I do now? (Garlic, ACV)
