You are right, Fyre, she does want to play with the babies! I will introduce them tomorrow. By the way, she is grey so I will have to try a grey ribbon on to see how it looks. She is fussy though and might demand a different color!!! lol My daughter is being sucked into the dark side by the babies. She was holding one yesterday and mumbles made her hold her too! Need more tinfoil!!!!

You guys are too funny! There's not enough tinfoil in the world to prevent silkies from taking over!

When I said Pedicure, I meant it. Not like us getting a pedi, you silly girls!

When you're getting Silkies ready for show, you shampoo them, soak & scrub their feet with a toothbrush, file the nails & the beak then thoroughly blowdry them for maximum poufy-ness! It's quite a process. I carry a blowdryer in my showbag for touch up.

It takes longer to blowdry a chicken than it does a human.

I have chicks available -- Lav & split Orpingtons, Lav & split Ameraucanas and BBS silkies in this batch. I also have some Barred Wheaten Project Ameraucana chicks. They are cute! Email or PM me if you're interested. I don't ship chicks, but do accept paypal.

...and I am gonna fluff him up and show him off! Wanna see my father's face!! Ought to be one for the record books lol!!

My NN's are sooo cute with their little top hats and poofy butts. I have to get more pics before they get scraggly.

It's hilarious to see those little heads bobbing around! I hope I get at least one hen out of the eight and I want to keep one roo too, if possible. .

Good Morning All!

Hey there Muggsmagee! How's things???? I bet those little Turkens are just too adorable.

The Silkie Modeling/Career Show School sounds like something that needs to be set up. I think that much work actually goes into a dog show as well but of course they have snouts not beaks

I want silkies but I'll wait to see what hatches out of this group. OMG!!! toooo excited, my one set of eggs shows up today and the other set should be here tomorrow.

Of course there's only 4 Silkie eggs in the one group.....I may have to buy some Silkies.....hmmmmm...wait....must adjust tinfoil hat - add more....crinkle crinkle....okay for now....

That is great about Mumbles! Of course the Queen Silkie always want all the attention - she expects to always be Queen and should be treated as such....
