NY chicken lover!!!!

Sounds like a ton of fun!!! I'm also in the Albany area! Can't wait! Where is Tab's place? While I don't post in this thread very often I love reading what everyone posts! It would be great to put faces with names!

Rome area ....it was about 90 minutes for me. I'm not exactly in albany, but no one knows what a "Feura Bush" is, much less WHERE it is, so I put Albany.

Anyone have any advice on where I can order spacific breed hatching eggs?? My son got an incubator for Christmas but then we lost our only roo

Have you tried the "for sale" area of this forum? But right now very few eggs are being laid, so you might have to wait til March to get eggs ....but right now you can start making contacts with people who might be able to help you out in the future.

Some advice, please:
I have 14 chickens (5 roosters, 9 hens, all sebrights) and 5 guineas (unsure of the sex of the guineas, but I am guessing 3 males and two females). They are all about 18 weeks old. Their diet consists of carrots, broccoli, spinach leaves, cantaloupe, starter/grower, and corn mixed in the starter/grower. They have access to the starter/grower/corn 24/7 and get the other veggies 3 times a day.

I found my first egg today

and was wondering if I should switch over to layer/oyster shells, or just provide access to the oyster shells, or just keep the same diet.

Thanks for your input

Not a white one, but ke5hde just mentioned last night that he has 2 blue silkie roos he's looking to rehome I believe. However we are about 2 hours from you. Unless you knew of anyone in this area coming your way for anything...:/

Yup I do have 2 blue ones, probably 3 but I'll wait a little longer on that one.

Look what a coworker made me today! How cute! I can't seem to get it straight tho. Argh. Looks fine here!

Where did they find that pattern or is it an original ? Those would be great to make for the India table at church. (the india table is a table of home made stuff being sold and the money donated to a orphan school we help support. I put jams I make on the table and there are others who make stuff too.

She said it was a pattern. I can ask where she got the pattern if you are the crochet type? :)
