NY chicken lover!!!!

I am looking at the Dominique

Egg Production:
egg%5FB%5FVH
on TSc ..
oldest American breed of chicken and was originally brought to the colonies from southern England in the 15th century. Dominiques are considered a "Heritage" breed of chicken
Today the breeds club is still going strong and has more than 200 members. Although the Dominique is on its way to recovery, its still listed as Threatened with a population of less than 5,000 breeding birds...Pretty Birds

I have Renamed TT she is is now SweetT.

wow cute little chicky :) yes they are so pretty!

Evening All!!! I'm Baaaaaackkk! Only took me 6 hours to get home today since I took a detour to get ducklings (and chicks). As far as the silkies go it was a no-go. She washed the birds yesterday before we were going to meet and they were sick. And of course she doesn't want to sell me them as much as I don't want to bring sick birds home to my flock. I was just so devastated. I had been waiting for what feels like over two months for those birds, I planned my trip around getting them. Just really upsetting but what can ya do.

On a good note:
Picked up some cuties on my way home...

And on an EVEN MORE positive note, I came home to THE BEST welcome home gift ever!

Walked up in to the shed to check on my silkies and found out they are LAYING!!!!! Not only is just one of them laying they are BOTH laying!!! The eggs are different and one is definitely from my lavender where the other would be from my splash. I am soooo excited! I think just for the heck of it I'm going to throw them in with my eggs I purchased yesterday and see what happens. I know my roo has been mating with the girls since they now have a much larger space.

Oh smiling duck!! wow you were busy
