You guys are the bestest! I called after work and Ithaca sold out of the GLW, so didn't make the trip. I emailed Mo'ville girl again to see if she has any SLW yet. I really like my GLW boy. Hoping to find something better than hatchery quality, but don't want show birds. In words of Rancher, Utility Dual Purpose birds.
Rancher - don't think I could take all the Del chicks, but maybe a few. Did you want to part with 2 EE chicks as well?
I really should go through the Chickenstock thread and start putting together a list of what everyone offers that I might like. Like a CrzyChick has Aussies and I want something that will lay a blue/green/olive egg.

You're welcome to the Dels, but I wanted to hang on to the EE's since I don't think I'll be hatching anymore.

The TSC here had GLW's, straight run, but some girl was there and took them all. Must of been over two dozen.

Oh I saw one on ebay! must have. That would be wonderful for middle of the night power outages. I just spent all my money on chicks and my paypal ebay money is tied up since they hold it when you are new for a short time until packages are delivered and whatnot. That doohickey alarm is on my list to get.

I have 25 Russian Orloff chicks being shipped Monday..

I'm giddy !!

I have a UPS for my computer ...It is like a alarm ....it goes off when the power goes out ..& safely shuts down my computer ..
It would work for chicks too ..but $$$ 50.00 plus for a cheap one

Oh yep DH has one on our computers too... I thought it stayed on like a battery and was very sad to know it shuts down everything and itself in 10 minutes so plugging the incubator into it was not helping anything...lol. Tomorrow I'll go get that charger thing out of garage i found the voltage converter cord for it now just charge it up.

I have also had trouble w the guy in Fayette. Used to be called A&J Farms. Would recommend steering clear of them.

Wow! Love this thread, but it's busy. Obviously some pretty awesome chicken people in NY!

And yikes: that was some of the slipperiest snow I have ever driven in yesterday. Fish tailed my way home. Can't imagine trying that w a horse & buggy!
I love this thread too, its full of nice people

Glad to see its warming up some for us the wind must have changed, I went to bed early with several layers of sweats and my cap..was freezing and woke up sweating and over heated.

Horse and buggys should not even be out in weather like that, its not even legal

but people don't follow laws for all sorts of reasons I suppose.
