This is Fredo today. He's first generation smooth sizzle.
We did let him go outside today. He thought the grass was a bit strange, kept picking up his feet and picking at them. He loves having his tummy rubbed!

Actually I think he only has frizzles

I have one from him, a beautiful MF frizzle. She's adorable!

I have a Del patterned Frizzle pullet. At least I'm fairly sure it's a pullet. Can be crossed with Silky roo. I do have Del pattern Frizzle hen but I don't keep silkies. to make Sizzles.

Nutty - the frzle pullet is in with the lot I offered you for the trade back.

Yes they are little stinkers ! Try a little Apple cider Vinegar in the water ..It may help ..
What are you using for bedding ?
They can go out when they are fully feathered . Do you have a warm place outside to keep them ?
you can put them out before then if you do ....
First of all = thank you to all who responded to my post (I have not figured out how to quote everyone in the same post yet)

My youngest are about a week old now and the oldest roughly 3 weeks. I am planning on leaving them all together. Right now they are in my garage in a brooder with pine shavings for bedding and a red heat lamp. I was not planning on moving them outside for at least another 3 weeks which would put at the end of may/beginning June. At that time we should be out of any frost danger. Average temp should be between 67-75 on the high side and 47-56 on the low.
I really just want to not need a heat lamp. Any future chickens I get will have an alternate heat source as I am a nervous nelli right now.

My oldest are taking hops/short flight off of the feeder and I am afraid they will hit the lamp at some point. (I have it secured but still ..... and given how big they are I will need to figure out how to put extenders on the brooder as they soon may be able to fly out of it...lol. My hubby would not be please with "escapees" all over the garage.

OMG! Whereabouts in Benton?? We take all our animals (inc. chickens) to Eastview vets in Benton!! And I love Hornings' greenhouse for plants

We are just around the corner from Eastview...lol, small world! You should really try Hoover's Greenhouse on Baldwin...they are excellent. One of Mr. Hoover's daughters is our neighbor. The Hoover's have been so good to us...when my husband broke his leg, they were there to help with the kids until I could get somebody from our church. They sent over a care package, and helped us with planting our trees, etc. Good people.
