NY chicken lover!!!!

Better start on our arks!! This rain is parked over us and doesn't seem in any hurry to go anywhere else.

Chickies are NOT pleased. Nor are the doggies!!! I imagine I will meet up with some cranky horses at the noon hour when I go to toss some more hay. We had a good run of days, though, didn't we?

I'm hatching easter eggers on the 21st. I could sell hatching eggs. I charge them just like I do when I sell my eggs $2.00 a dozen. The only problem is my rooster is being lazy and not chasing all the girls. Out of 55 eggs I only had 35 fertile. I'm located about 45-hour south of buffalo.
45 hours south of buff.. i am guessing florida ..lol..sorry i couldnt resist..lol

Haha I originally thought the exact same thing, but I think he meant 45minutes to an hour south of Buffalo ;) Stupid fox was hanging around the fencing around the coops this morning. Unfortunately by the time my dad could grab the gun it was gone. It didn't look like the baby this time either. Has anyone had luck trapping foxes or is the best way to just sit outside and wait?

bite your tongue. I've been waiting for summer since November.

The ducks are loving the rain. I'm not quite sure they're easier to take care of than chickens. Open the door and they run out headed for the nearest puddle. They go in each night with no trouble too. Not friendly like the chickens though.

Frenchy has been out with her chicks. It's nice to see the older Dels do not bother with them. Even the rooster seems to take no notice.

Feed them food out of a bucket from your hand and they'll be friendly before ya know it! Mine follow me around every time I step outside now. I've even gotten to the point where I can pet them while they eat, though I don't think they realize I do it because they're too busy chowin down. LOL

The sun'll come out Tomorrow Bet your bottom dollar That tomorrow There'll be sun!
Just thinkin' about Tomorrow
Clears away the cobwebs, And the sorrow 'Til there's none! :)

When I'm stuck with a day that's gray, And lonely, I just stick out my chin And Grin, And Say,

The sun'll come out Tomorrow
So ya gotta hang on 'Til tomorrow Come what may Tomorrow! Tomorrow! I love ya Tomorrow! You're only A day A way!
:) listening to the Annie soundtrack with the baby. I realized it's how I feel about tomorrow lol rainy here all day today :/

The rain and humidity are killing me. I am also worried that this weather will bring on the northern fowl mites again. I just finished the second round of eprinex on the silkies. Have to do the terrorist coop on sunday. I keep checking on everyone because I dont want to go through that again. The brats and the little monsters should be fine. I permethryned the crap out of that coop before anyone went in it. Ill keep checking though. Have to band the fogle group of rir on sunday then remove the barrier and let the two groups merge. Should be interesting. They are only 4 weeks apart in age but there is a size difference. Hopefully all goes well.

Got all the silkies washed, dryed and pedicured for the trip tomorrow. Amazing how superb they look all cleaned up and beautified. Takes such a long time though. I dont know how people do it with so many silkies that they show. All four of them loved the blow dryer. One pullet was moving herself around and her head around so I could get certain spots. Diva. Junior was doing the same thing. I told him he was getting his picture taken for the cover of GQ Roo.

Gotta go get all the food ready for tomorrow. later
