One more day! That's all I have left! I'm in a little bit of panic mode but it's not like I have much left to do. Tomorrow will be our last day here and then my movers arrive Thursday morning bright and early at 8:30am! I'm hoping they don't take too long loading our things. I'd like to get to my moms in CT by 5pm. I was able to rehome my last two bunnies (2 are coming with us) to someone in CT that I recently reconnected with on FB. She has been raising and showing rabbits for years, since I was in High School anyway. I bought rabbits from her way back when and she's still doing what she does today! Crazy. So we're going to meet up Thursday night and she's going to take my two mini satin rabbits and one or two of the babies. Yay!!!

Slaughter houses are not kind & most often very cruel

I'm not quite sure what we expect in slaughter houses. When you are processing thousands of animals it can be hard to be gentle. Too not everyone has a love for animals. These I suspect make the fastest workers. They say we all have a cruel streak. I'm sure like doctors and nurses you set your emotions to disassociate. Otherwise I bet there'd be a lot of tears in the operating room.

I can imagine the smell. Consider processing your birds times thousands. Still I would like them to be cleaner. But imagine how much water it would take. I'm not sure what the answer is.

Yet be sure to wash your chicken and keep things disinfected. Cook it thoroughly.

The cleanliness of the places were not what bothered me the most...it was the abuse and just plain torture of the animals. Unheard of torture that I don't know how these people sleep at night!

I did see food inc and I agree some folks need a good kick in the keester for the way they treat animals. I had to yell at a young man who was working for me. He thought it was okay to chase my chickens. He was wrong.

I can't believe how fast it got here.

Make sure you take a moment to stop and relax if even it is just for a few minutes.

I hope that the movers are good and get you loaded and on your way quickly.

I will definitely still come on here to post! Just wish I could have some chicken stories to share.

Although maybe I will after getting in touch with some of those who offered to help me house them closer to my neighborhood. I'll still love hearing all the stories and pictures you all bring to the table here.

I'm actually going over to Chris and Danielle's tonight to visit my birds one last time before heading out tomorrow. I want to take a bunch of pictures of them too. Which reminds me I better upload the pics on my phone to my PC so I have room. LOL I swear thats what I use my phone for 75% of the time, if not more. I need to get back into the habit of using my SLR camera. DH spent so much money on it and he hates that I'm so quick to settle and use my phone for things like the kids birthdays, holidays, etc. It's just easier sometimes. Plus I'm really wanting a new lens for it so I can take closer shots and what not.

Anywho, I'll share some pics of my cheeps when I'm settled in the new house and internet is up and running again. I still don't even know who to contact for that cuz it's not the same company my mom uses which is weird.
