NY chicken lover!!!!

What does it mean when the rooster cones in coop wile I'm in there and he like bows down head on ground and but up in air ?
It means you need to chase his butt out of the coop and let him know who is boss. I am not sure what your question is, but, unless you have the world's tamest rooster (and I don't trust ANY of them) , I make sure all my roosters know *I* am boss every time they come near me. I am not abusive, but I don't let roosters sneak up on me....why? Because the minute my back is turned an agressive rooster will flog my legs. (And it's summer and I am in shorts all day) I have had roosters flog me. I had pants on. It hurt and I didn't want to repeat that ever again, especially in shorts. The last rooster who flogged me had his head handed to him. Literally. So, chase him out of the coop if he follows you in. (the exception to that would be if he is coming in with his ladies near the time they normally go to roost)

His head turned away from me and it in morning afternoon when I walk over to him he runs out even if I take 1 step
I wasn't sure if it was sumbmisive or aggressive

Hey everyone. I haven't stopped in in a long while. I was wondering if anybody here is interested in some bantam cochin chicks. I have around 35 and need to cut back on some. Please PM if you or anyone you know may be interested. They are from 1 month to 3 months old.

Had a weird thing happen to me last night . My son closed up the ducks & chickens ..so when I got home ...I made them all go where they are supposed to .
Made the ducks leave the chicken coop , said " Go to bed boys..." they left & when in their cage
Closing up the doors on the coop ...something small flies over my head ..to the coop door ..almost hit me
Im thinking nighttime ...what ? a Bat ?
I hear more wings ...and impact with my shoulder ..I look down ...one of the baby house wrens is perched there .
We have a motion light there on the coop ..I guess two of them decided to make a 11:00pm fly by / first fly ?
I caught one & put it back in the nest ..the 2nd I couldnt catch ..it went in the coop..I chased it out ...
Or it would have been chicken delight this morning ..no sign of it .
Does anyone elses chickens chase / eat smaller birds ?

this is momma or papa

County Boy - maybe you can PM Pyxis ... last time I talked to her she was looking for some .... but I don't know if she still is ....

I'd take some if they were full sized - but no room for bantams. Your birds always look so wonderful !
