:hugs:thumbsup:weee...Do you have the one where everything is automatic? I have 3 for 3 call ducks...pipped and zipping...sort of....worried they won't be able to get out....but they are alive now...just hope they are...as for lockdown...I bring the humidity up 65%ish....candle the eggs as I put them in and leave them...and watch for pips..day 18 is when you stop turning them...I have had some luck with putting the eggs in an egg carton with bottoms cut out...I also had some die..as they pip on the bottom of the shell...?

Who did you get your eggs from? I had 12 develop! and other the 21 days they died off...other eggs in the same incubator did fine...I had some just never come out of the shell...

Good luck and plz let us know..

Thanks! hoping others will chime in......

I also have a few eggs in my brinsea advance EX right now - trying to get some more turken hens since it seems I got almost all roos on my last hatch.

I DO remove my clears since I am terrified of getting an egg bomb in my nice shiny clean incubator, but I think they do go dark before they go boom.

As for feed, I just put down chick starter. I use an ecoglow for heat and a nipple waterer which they figure out immediately. My last two hatches are being taken care of by my broodies, but no one is broody right now. Wish me luck that I get some girls on this hatch!

As for lockdown.. I incubate at 40% and up it to 60% at lockdown - have had excellent luck with this method. Strangely enough, no shrinkwrapping since I stopped trying to crank it to 80%! And with the brinsea, since it recovers so quickly, I DO open the incubator once a day to remove dried and fluffed chicks. It gets crowded in there if you don't - I've managed to stuff 30 eggs in mine!

Mine are so cute! I had 14 eggs, only 8 hatched (shipped from texas so I am not complaining!) and only 3 or 4 are girls (up in the air on #4). My hubby thinks they are freaky looking.

So against my better judgement I am trying with one more set of eggs - the eggs I hatched the first time were massive, so I have hopes that my first set of girls will lay big ol eggs.

Oh, I hope so...my were from Pa. She sent 3...2 developed one hatched other just didn't come out...My DD doesn't like them....DH..he just deals with the chicken math...

Good luck with your hatch! PM'd you! boy that sounds obscene:lol:!!!

Everybody - you just have to go to the online poulty show section and look at the kids and chickens contest thread. Check out the chicken on page 5. No Feathers!

Apparently this is a featherless chicken project that some are working on. The gene comes from the Naked Necks.

It looks like ET's chicken.
