Oh my goodness, I was just going through some old pictures and look what I found! Here I present the troublemakers that got me into poultry, my very first birds, Magic and Charm:

700

700

So there you have it, the origin of the obsession!

I want to hug them both!

How many? I have pekins in the incubator at the moment, but will be doing runs of khaki campbell and Muscovy as well. We have just started summer production, so I'll have ducklings at the beginning of each month until the end of the laying season.

About ten or so how much are you asking for them and what color Muscovies do you have?

My Muscovy hens are black and white, and my drake is a french white. They should begin laying in another month or so. The hatch I have going now is to fill the pekin and moulard orders my daughter has gotten in. I set some extra, but I will likely not have 10 this time around. I am hoping to get a third incubator up and running within the next few weeks, and then will have the room to do special orders along with the regular runs. I would say $3 per duckling.

Hi all -

I have a friend who is not online ... she is looking for nice Turken Naked Necks (color choice buff, white then black are her preference) .... would like 2-3 of them and also guinea keets 2-3 ....

Can anyone supply chicks and keets together so they can grow up together ? Prices and all info you can give - as I am the middle person here and you know there will be questions flying about price, timing, age, color and all that jazz ....

THANKS !

Beautiful muscovies I had blues chocolate and pied back in the day but my grandfather had me get rid of them, so now I have my own place and would enjoy some they make excellent mothers, how man extra are you thinking you might have in this hatch? And where abouts are you located?

I had some beautiful chocolates last fall that got wiped out one afternoon by a pair of dogs from two roads over. I had to replace all my hens, so these gals are first time layers this year. I am really excited to see how their ducklings look! Scovies are amazing broodies, and I'm hoping to have them set their own eggs during the summer after I collect some of them for the incubators.
I do my first candle in about 3 days, so I'll have an idea of how many are on their way. I have 22 in the incubator at the moment. I'm picking up my cabinet on Tuesday, so depending on how fast I can get the rest of my supplies in, I may be able to start another run by the weekend. I was hoping to be fine with just 2 incubators, but the moment my daughter said "limited run", people began ordering birds in bigger quantities, so I'm scrambling to get production runs for her out while still finding space for my special orders, rare breeds, and fun stuff. So expansion is my only option! I would be happy to incubate a special run of Muscovies for you if you'd like them if I don't have any in the current batch.
I'm in Carlisle NY - about 2 hours East of Syracuse and an hour West of Albany.

Hey folks. I haven't been on here in forever.

I figured I'd check here on a lark and see if I might get a bit lucky.

I am looking for light brahma and standard cochin chicks. Preferably chicks that have just hatched, as I just hatched yesterday and would prefer to integrate chicks of the same age. I had forgotten that I had wanted to add a few of these to my flock this year and by the time I went checking the hatcheries, they were sold out.

Anybody reasonably close to Yates County that might, just maybe, have some chicks?
