NY chicken lover!!!!

I'd love to see pictures! What is she asking per egg? Worst case scenario is I'd have you ship them to me, if you're willing, and then they'd only travel a little ways instead of a long ways. I'm looking at some SB eggs from another breeder, so if I got eggs from both it would work out well.

She is asking $10 per egg - I can always snag some for you, since I'm nearly in the middle between her place and Glens Falls. We will be back in Saratoga again this week to pick up what will be my next incubator cabinet - so I don't mind a little travel (I commuted 2 hours a day to work for 20 years!)

Sent you a pm :) If we can't work out a way to get together I'd be happy to pay shipping to have you send them my way - they'd only travel a small fraction of the distance that I'd have to get eggs shipped from otherwise :)

Wow! That's a great price! I really want one of those Flow system hives, but they are way beyond my budget! I'm going to have to keep an eye on CL now!!
I haven't seen the price of the Flow system hives. They are nice. The reason I don't get a hive is I can't take care of it.

As with chicken coops I suspect there will be a great number of empty hive in a few years.

This is why I advise people to buy and convert a garden/storage shed rather than a designated coop. At least when the thrill wears off you can convert it back to a garden/storage shed.

Or a play house.

Or just somewhere to hide when family is driving you nuts. With a good wireless system you could stay out there for hours.

Check CL.  There is a guy who has them for $150. The cheapest I've seen so far.  At least if I've read his ad right.

CM has them too.

Very cool I found nucs for 120 I believe but I still need to build the hive (making a top bar out of a 55 gallon plastic barrel) and many other projects as well as finding another friend for my doe since she had a buck and building a buck enclosure lol

I don't see chickens wearing off for me, just seems to be getting bigger lol I like the idea of a hideout I already kinda do that in the goat shed lol I sit in the corner on a pile of hay and Jasper monkeys around on me then falls asleep in my lap while I take cute pics or hang out on byc

Hello from Boonville ny way:)

Welcome to BYC and the most active NY thread!
I know a couple people from Boonville (drank lots of beer with them anyway haven't seen them in awhile) loggers.
One uses Belgium draft horses for logging, friends with the other who is the brother to a good friend of mine, also loggers.
