NY chicken lover!!!!

Quick question, does anyone know of anyone near Glens Falls NY who has sebastopols that would be willing to sell me some hatching eggs? I know Marquisella on here has some gorgeous ones but she's so far I'd have to have them shipped, which defeats the point of local, unfortunately. My goose has gone broody and she has no mate, so I'm wanting to get her something to hatch. I have someone who will ship them to me, but I thought I'd try to find some locally first.

If you're talking to me, I would definitely have been interested but I've already been offered a trade for a pair that I'm going to take. Thanks for the offer though! I think we would have been too far apart too, I live around the Glens Falls area.

Where did you get the Sussex from? Good quality? I know the breeder I got my one from was looking for some new pullets.

They are of good size, a bit on the haggard side, looks like they were getting beat up on!! Two of the hens have too much white, the third has nice balance. One of my hens is beautiful, but a bit on the small size. The roo they are in with has a lot less white, hopefully the white on the chicks will balance out!!

I'm picking up half a dozen sebbie eggs tomorrow from a breeder south of me (so a few hours south of Glens Falls) if you'd like, I'll get some pictures of her stock for you - she's NPIP as well. She has both SB and CB, but I think her eggs at the moment are all CB.

I'm picking up half a dozen sebbie eggs tomorrow from a breeder south of me (so a few hours south of Glens Falls) if you'd like, I'll get some pictures of her stock for you - she's NPIP as well. She has both SB and CB, but I think her eggs at the moment are all CB.

I'd love to see pictures! What is she asking per egg? Worst case scenario is I'd have you ship them to me, if you're willing, and then they'd only travel a little ways instead of a long ways. I'm looking at some SB eggs from another breeder, so if I got eggs from both it would work out well.

So jealous bees have been out off till next year, had to replace my head gasket in my car we are going to build the hives this year though have fun
