Hello all! I'm in dutchess county ny and wondering if anyone has fertile black copper marans eggs for sale? Looking to make a local contact. I'm working on my first batch of eggs right now but they were shipped, so I'm dealing with the issues of that. Like to avoid shipping again if I can but will if I have too. I don't know how far you are looking to travel, but someone had some listed on Facebook on the ALBANY, NY AREA FARM/HOMESTEAD BUY/SELL/TRADE within 50 MILES of Albany group.

There's a ad on Craigslist in Saugerties could be the same. Good breeder line. $5 chick, maybe they sell eggs also?
Edited to add; yup, they sell eggs, said so on another add for seramas, they also have crested cream legbars.

Omg...upgraded the dog crate which is wired to put plywood sides in for pine shavings. These girls need their coop. So much going on right now, but on vacation and hopefully done this weekend. Wish me luck! Btw....I'm trying very hard to stay away from our feed store....really I AM! But I've got the itch. need to get stuff for my girls soon.

Well I had a Hen die last night ...Doggie ....She was a hatchery comet ..3 years old
She had a sour crop & green diarrhea..and her comb fell down to the side ...I tried different things ..I think it was her time to pass .
She was never a real friendly hen ...
she was a chicken that never let me pick her up very much ...
When she was a pullet ...she never wanted to got to bed ....I always had to chase her in ...around & around the coop ...until we got a Rooster
but when she got sick she became a real sweet heart and let me cuddle her .


This is 2 of my young hens trying to figure why she is in a cage down cellar ..at snack time

@RubyNala97 I'm usually checking Oneonta Craigslist, sometimes Binghamton. I put in a search for chickens or egg incubator and it will pop up also in your area after the ones close. Got lucky on that one popping up on Oneonta, not close to me at all.
