Yes, She was very nice and brought that big white horse over for the kids to see. It looked to be a stocky work type horse. Another horse was white with black swirls. The other two horses were brown.

You've seen our place. Do you think he would/could drill holes down the wooded side? What does he charge? I figure if I could get the holes and post set, I could fence it later.

I saw that they went riding and thought that it might have been the same. The big white horse was a Percheron. His name is Arnie. I used to ride him when I lived with that family. Good older horse.

I know that you have some hard fill issues. Is it over on the wooded side too? I asked DH about it and he reminded me that hid dad's back has been bothering him a lot and that he has been passing the hole jobs over to our neighbor. I'll talk with him when I get a chance and see what he says. How many holes are you thinking that you would need?

Question....I have someone that is interested in some of my processed roosters. They want to pay for them. What would be a fair price for them. They aren't meat birds, just young dual birds, about 3-4 pounds each. I was just going to give her some, but she said that she wanted to pay for them so I want to tell her a reasonable fair price. I thought that I would ask you peeps for advice first.

Hi all!
What a day. It was so warm that I scooped out all the old litter in the coop and rebedded it. I threw down some barn lime on the floor before rebedding. I also added an indoor dust bathing area with some wood ash to control some lice I've seen on a couple birds. Everyone of the chicks seems pretty healthy right now. I gave away four mixed breed chicks yesterday. I processed 4 cockerels over the past two weeks and can't bring myself to processing the last two that have to go. I posted them for free on CL and FB. I'll put their pics here too.

As for a sticky chick, I would wait a couple days to see if it's still sticky. I've had them fluff up, and I've has some lose some fluff in the process. I wouldn't shock them by bathing them. I really hope you get them perked up and healthy.

Either my girls are going on strike or something is stealing my eggs. Yesterday I only got 7 today I only got 11. All young pullets all been good layers.

My four pullets have been laying great until the last couple weeks. Now I'm getting one or two eggs a day. Day length...

Oh yeah! That's what I was going to say. haha.
My chickens have been laying okay. One has just stopped or she is hiding eggs somewhere. Now that I've cleaned out the coop and switched their food to all one type I hope they'll settle back in to a routine.

My ayam cemanis are weird. They went on strike at the end of summer. Now everyone else is taking a break - and they're laying up a storm, after I've put away my incubator for the year

Poor Babies ! Shipping chicks is always risky...any time of year ...I think it is worse as it gets colder .

If it does get stronger do I need to bathe it to get the down fluffy or should I just leave it and hope for the best. I think it's a sulmtaler.

Gunky chick - I guess I would leave it be... till it gets stronger ..(.Sugar water is a good suggestion Rancher - quick sugar )they can eat egg yolk too for strength ..cooked & think moistened with a little water .

Mine are starting to lay again ..the calcium is finally getting to them ..after getting depleted this summer
No lights for me ...I want them to do it naturally

I got my 1st BLUE EGG TODAY ! dont know who is laying it ...Im so happy ...

i thought my 4 new pullets were going to lay all green

really okay ...would like more blues though ...

Congrats! And yeah, I think I've decided to join the NYD hatch a long, lol. Technically I won't have hatched any more this year But that's it until spring!
