NY chicken lover!!!!

I'm going back to masonic medical research laboratory, DNA extraction and genetic screening. They offered me better pay and having normal hours, time flexibility, and family friendly environment are the bonus.

Pyxis---The frizzles are from the eggs you got from me? They are nice!

Your job sounds cool, tab. Congrats. Better pay and hours, plus family friendly?! Can't get much better than that!

So I ordered six baby chicks from mypetchicken.com. Different breeds. But even though they were all listed as available, when I was checking out, they said the first available shipping date is May!

. I really wanted them much sooner. Oh, well. I did mention that I will accept certain sibstitutions if I could get them earlier. We shall see what happens. I was reading through the brooder thread (I've never raised chicks before, got them as adults), and the only things I really needed to buy are the thermometer and a bulb. I'll be keeping them in the house. I'm a tropical animal, so my house is always warm. So I'll get a 100 watt bulb since I'll be putting them in a plastic bin for the beginning. I'm excited, but May is ages away.

Has anyone played Alfred Chicken on NES ?

Im looking for a chicken game to play too ! Oh no
WOW ! Too expensive 50.00 - 100.00 on ebay...
How about Eggsplode ? Or a animal game I might like ?

Lol! Never heard of them.
Reminds me of Eggomania on the Atari 2600, catch the eggs as the hen drops them, or drown in yolks, Lol, sucks now. Animal game? One of the first NES games I ever played with the gun, 'Duck Hunt' that was a awesome game!

New ladies do that sometimes ....train them by putting fake eggs / golf balls - anything egg like ...in the nesting box in the coop.
You dont have any windows in the coop do you ? they might lay inside more if it wasnt so dark in there ..
I imagine they are sleeping when it is closed ?
They've started to lay inside now, thankfully. We also drilled some ventilation holes in recently.

Coop's opened at 7am (or whenever the sun's about), rain or snow. None of 'em seem particularly rain averse, and a couple of the pullets adventure out in the snow.

I'm eagerly awaiting the yet-determined release of ChickenSword, in which your protagonist is (surprise) a chicken, generally wielding a sword thrice their size.

Or blowing things up.

Then there were always the chickens from Legend of Zelda:

Aside from the brick Gameboy version, that's the game of chicken you always lost.

Tab, so happy to hear of your new job. That will make life so much better for you. And the whole family!
Lap, sorry to hear of the passing of the Del. Roads are such an attraction. I think it starts with the little pebbles, with tasty salt!
Baking! Yay for little girls!

They won't ship them before March 28th even if they substitute - you have to order at least 25 for them to ship them any time between now and then. And if you want to save a few bucks, cancel your order through My Pet Chicken and place it with Meyer - that's the hatchery that MPC dropships from, and they sell the same chicks you would have gotten anyway for cheaper.
