Maybe because your duck is really a goat?

I'd like to see the eggs those ducks lay.

Seriously, if she is with the goats she might have gotten stepped on. I've stepped on chicken feet more than a few times. I swear some days if I wore a velcro suit I'd be covered in chickens. I've nearly run them over with the lawnmower. If I didn't keep them locked up while I snow blow there'd be chickens flying across the yard.

Wish DW chased after me they way the chickens do. 40 yrs of marriage does that to you. When we were young she was afraid I'd get away, now she wishes I'd just get away. Of course at my age, she wouldn't have anymore trouble catching me than they do.

I'd put your duck by itself and see if a few days rest don't do the trick.

I'm not feeding layer yet, gramma, I wanted to finish up the bag of grower I have, that I was feeding chick with. That's why I only wanted a small bag of oyster shell. Because I'm only going to use the oyster shell up until o finish the grower.

Hello Devona :)
I just mixed the leftover chick food with the layer mash. My girls ate it just fine. Although I don't mix calcium with any of my feeds as calcium toxicity is a problem unto itself.I provide free choice calcium 24/7 & my shells are perfect.
Just my humble opinion. I hope it helps.
